If Mann has higher eyeline than a guy like rj cyler but is a half inch shorter does that mean that Mann's eye level to his head is like 4 inches or something short?

@ Tunman - 'Mann' is a common enough German surname! I was on about the name 'Thomas'! I know the French pronounce it without the 's', but I haven't a clue how the Germans do!

Well,the dude was quite famous for The Buddenbrook and also for Death in Venice.Anyways he was a staunch opponent to Hitler and had to flee Germany after nazis seizure of power.He lived many years in US but as far as I know,this was his true family name.I'm not sure germans were interested in english names in mid-late 19th century.The fact that Mann has 2 "n" indicates german origin like Libermann.Later after 1-2 generations,many of those coming from Germany dropped the 2nd "n"probably to sound more english.

Of the children from the family of my German uncle (5 sons), nearly all of them have English names, all barring the first two sons of the eldest.
