Inspector Morse mentioned that there was a strong smell of fish when the second victim was found, adding that it was Jackson’s aftershave! Well, poo to that!
🎏😷😂😂😂
What a turnaround: as Dr Who, Patrick was infallible, but then he didn’t exactly fair well in The Omen either, the poor priest. ☹️
Jackson is the name of the guy Patrick played in ‘The Dead of Jericho’, the first ever Inspector Morse.

Sergeant Lewis remarked to Inspector Morse that there wasn’t a single book in Patrick Troughton’s home in the first ever episode, in which Patrick starred. Ergo, he wasn’t educated.
He didn’t exactly speak with an educated voice either, and his tones were SUCH a contrast to his priest’s voice in The Omen. That’s all part of the stunning and endless talent scope possessed by actors, and very impressive it is too!
My, did Patrick look tiny next to Gregory Peck, or what? 😳

Inspector Morse, Episode One: The Dead of Jericho.
Stop that curtain twitching, you dirty old man! He’s even got the binoculars out, which won’t go unnoticed by those you are spying on.
I can believe 5ft7.5. The woman he is spying on is quite tall, not a far cry from Inspector Morse himself. (John Thaw, 5ft9)

Patrick played a very determined priest in The Omen, trying to persuade Gregory Peck to get rid of his spawn of Satan son, Damien. Gregory didn’t half tower over him!
5ft7.75.

Patrick starred in the first Inspector Morse episode 'The Dead of Jericho'. He looks scruffy and sounds completely different to the Patrick we knew and loved. That's what acting is all about!
5ft8 peak, but less in this late 80s feature-length detective classic. No sorry - I'm marking him down to 5ft7.5. I don't believe he was ever Rob's sort of height range. After all, during much of the day, Rob is well in excess of 5ft8.

Yesterday I watched Patrick star as a priest in a thriller made back in 1974 called 'Nurse Will Make It Better', in which he starred alongside Diana Dors. It wasn't dissimilar to the part he played in the first Omen film, in that he was fighting evil, only in this TV thriller, he won! 😁👍
Patrick can have 5ft8, peak height.

I saw Patrick starring in the 1964 film 'The Gorgon' last week, playing a detective. He is one of the fellows who showed Peter Cushing as the tall man that he actually was! All too often, next to Christopher Lee, also in the movie, and Vincent Price, Peter doesn't look quite so tall as he ought to!
Anyway, Patrick was fuller of face and noticeably younger in the film (43/44), but in my opinion, he was one of the many men who got better with age. He was one of my favourite Doctor Who incarnations ever and he was excellent in 'The 'Omen' as a preacher.
I agree that this father-of-six was 5ft7.5.

He is by no means average height as some think. Some whovians actually think him taller than William Hartnell which is doubtful. Next to Frazer Hines / Jamie (5ft 6) he is not much taller than him. Probably 5ft 6 1/2 when he was older and maybe 5ft 7 1/2 peak height.
