never shorter than 5´8 and no taller than her claim. Maybe closer to 5´8 on a average day and on a good day was measured 174. I dont think she is lying, she have been measured 174. The question is what time of the day?

HI I am just back from monaco and I met at a beach there she is exteremly tall may be 5'10 with no heels. she is a natural red head and she looks so much younger than her age. So nice and she was not scared of the crowd. I was just besides her.

i met a few times she is not as tall as 175 also i think big heels can give 3 inch over barefeet my girlfriend look almost 5'9.5 when she as heels and she is 5'7.25 also kate looked about 5'8 mybe a hair more when wearing sneakers but in heels looked 5'10 to 5'10.25 i think heels can give 2 inch boost even compare to 1 inch men heels like nicole kidman is 179 but can look 185 in heels so she is about 187 188 in heels anyway kate looked strong 178 when wearing 3.5 in heels

174 looks bang on she was wearing 3.5 in heels and looked almost my height but when she had 0.75 sleepers she looked 5'8 but i had 1 cm advantage so 174 cm she looked about proper 178 in heels like 5'10.25 person so 174 is bang on she could be 5'8 but heels dont give as mush as we taught but 3.5 night give 2.6 or 2.7

She is not taller than Patrick Dempsey! Dempsey is 5'9.5", and she is 5'8.5." She is taller noticeably than him in heels though, and so is Katherine Heigl.

Still, even if she were 5'9, I find it odd, that the producers would find it necessary to have her wear those high heels, I mean can you imagine standing on your feet and working all day in three to four inch heels, and it's not like she needs it, even barefoot she is the tallest female character on the show, besides Katherine Heigl, that is, who is also 5'9/175 cm., so she is bound to stand out, which is probably what her character is suppposed to be doing. SO those heigh heels are really unnecessary!

From what I could tell, she was about the same height as the actress playing Izzie, who is 175 cm./5'9 feet tall. So Kate Walsh must be at the high end of 5'9. Maybe 176-177 cm.

She was talking on Conan O'Brien last night that Isiah Washington is the only person on the cast who's taller than she is(they call her Godzilla when she walks on the set), so I'd guess she's around 5'10" since she's a bit taller than Patrick Dempsey.

She was on Conan last night. She said she was one of the tallest people in the cast of Gray's Anatomy and they call her a nickname which is a variation of "amazon". She also said when she modelled in Japan, people would stare at her, stare at her feet, compare hand sizes, etc since she is tall. I'd say she's at least 5'10".
