I can't see Dempsey below the 177-76 range, just like a lot of visitors here. There are various comments about him being as low as 5'8/5'8.5, but that is total madness ! In Grey's anatomy and made of honour, where he is in scene with Kevin mckidd who is solid 180-181 cm, he never looks below 176 cm, so 5'9.5 to flat 5'10 isn't impossible.

He is always acting with tall women with high heels, Michelle Monaghan is 173 cm, so with heels he is at least 178, Kate Walsh is 178 I think, the only "small" was Ellen Pompeo with 170 cm. So, he is nowhere below 178 cm.

Been watching Grey's Anatomy recently from the beginning ...when he's stood next to Katherine Heigl (listed on here as 5'8.5") he is around an inch and a half taller with them both wearing standard trainers. He also looks noticeably taller than Chris O'Donnell when they were in a scene together and he's listed on here as 5'9"....so 5'10" really wouldn't be unrealistic.

Rob i worked as an extra for several weeks on greys anatomy i met the cast a lot my guess for all the cast was dempsey 5'9.5 pickens jr about 5'11.75 dane 6'0.75-1in Washington 6'1 , heigl 5'8-8.5 , tr looked close to 5'7 but had thick shoes at Times , the red haïr girl 5'8-8.5 , sandra 5'5 and greys wasnt as tall as 5'6 more 5'5ish

I had a growing-period like that too, I was 5'10.5" at 17, 5'11.5" at 18, and now I am 21 and just shy of 6'1". I find it wierd since my dad is just 5'9.25" (5'10" in his 20-40s) and my mom is 5'6".

Click Here Another premiere, same difference. This time you can see both Monaghan and Dempsey's footwear clearly, she's not even standing fully straight, and he wears 1 inch minimum dress shoes. He's is NOT 177cm, or he already shrunk 2 cm's which is highly unlikely. He often wears lifts too, but probably not in these pictures. And Monaghan is not over 170-171 cm barefoot, compared to Ben Stiller that's obvious.

There's really no way Amy Adams is more than 5'3'', if her "twin" on SNL, Kristen Wiig is the 5'5'' she claims to be. So, Patrick is probably just barely 5'9''. I saw a picture in a rag of Patrick with 6'1'' Eric Dane. Dane was slouching and Dempsey was considerably shorter -- more than four inches.

He just doesn't have the frame of a 5'10 man, look at his legs, arms, etc. He wears lifts, and due to his small shoulders, slender frame and hair he can appear a good 5'10-5'11 with decent shoes and lifts.

He's not that tall, he's average. It's funny I'm about his height (Maybe a half a inch less), and some people refer to me as tall. Only people who are like 5'1"-5'4" though. Otherwise I am just average, because we have really tall guys at my school! We've got guys who are like 6'9", and my head doesn't even reach their shoulders. Are tallest guy is about 7'1" though. People are getting taller and taller by the day. Guys have to be at least 6 foot to be models, and if they want to play basketball they have to be at least 6 foot or else they are mocked. Same thing for girls the average height for a female model is 5'8"- 5'11" Tallness is a commodity. Shortness really isn't.

In the 1990 movie RUN, Dempsey is said to be 5'10 on his driver's license. That description seems reasonable. So, id say that he is between 5'9-5'10 without shoes on.

I actually read an interview with him from years a go and he something about being short in highschool and having a growth spurt after he dropped out. I think he dropped out when he was 16 or 17. If that's true I think it is plausible that he grew an inch or two past the age of 18. Although I think he is probably 5 foot 9 not 5 foot 10.
