American, former Football player, known as 'The Fridge', who played as a defensive tackle for The Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. In April 1985 around the time of the draft, he was described as
6-1 ½ and 325 pounds.

@Rampage: I thought he was taller than this too. But I didn’t think 6’6” territory. I would’ve thought at least 6’2 range tho and I would’ve thought 6’3 if I didn’t know better

In these 1980s commercials they make him look like he's 7' tall, I can see how people might have believed him to be an actual giant taller than 6'1 or 2.

This guy I expected to be at least 6ft6...looked mountainous back in the day. Tall Sam, I’m 6ft4 myself and I’m shocked that I’d be looking down at him if I met him.

I have early childhood memories of him on the Eagles and I always pictured him as a monstrous giant of a man but he would've actually been about 2.5 inches shorter than my dad, go figure. He still had those massive shoulders.
