William has been in some interesting movies, and I shall endeavour to look out for him. I know the name and the face well!
5ft10.75 and 5ft9.25 now.

@Rob Do you think Once Upon A Time In America co-star James Hayden deserves a listing on here? Currently, no website has his height listed. Hayden looks 5'8 - 5'8 1/2 beside Robert De Niro in that film.
ChristianPerkins said on 17/Mar/22
Looks near enough 5'9" with 5'11.75" Michael Biehn, accounting for footwear and camera position difference.
Ian Momo 'Questionable 5'10' said on 6/Jan/22
now maybe still over 5'9, peak was 5'11, weaker range
berta said on 4/Jan/22
i wonder why he have lost that mutch height. Yeah he could really look around 180 when he was young but could he have been that. He really looks short beside michael biehn in 2013 when beigh probably wasnt more than legti 182 at the time. I wonder if he is down to only 173,5-4 today. its 7 years since the photo.
Editor Rob
Some people are more susceptible than others, but I think over last few years he doesn't seem to have shrunk much more than the time I met him, when he was still 5ft 9 range.
berta said on 2/Dec/20
also if he had lost 2 inches by thetime this photo was taken then it means he must hav elost 1 inch more now when he have reached the avctual age where people start to loose height. i dont think so. i think 177,5 peak and down to maybe 176 when rob meet him and looked 175 with bad posture and now is down to 175.
VitoCheng said on 16/Oct/20
now: still possible 178cm
peak:181cm

So he has lost almost 2 inches wow
179cm guy said on 23/Mar/19
Rob, 4cm is quite a bit of height loss for a guy who's only in his sixties right? What happened?
Editor Rob
Well if you go back to 1983 or thereabouts when he was in Once Upon a Time in America, he wasn't far off James Woods and had a couple of inches on DeNiro I'd have guessed. I really would have said he looked 5ft 11 in the 80's, now in 60's looks 5ft 9 range in person!
It's a fair whack to lose...
Christian 6'5 3/8 said on 11/Oct/18
Why is he listed 5'9"? He looks max 5'8" with Rob.
Editor Rob
In person he did look taller than he ended up looking in a photo, which is a bit shorter than he is.

It can be done now if you choose to kill the estrogen in the body as that is the hormone/culprit responsible for short stature.

Re: Your comment enlightening me to the fact that there is a scene in a film in which Seagal cuts his head off and urinates down the hole.
That sounds well worth seeing! Could you please, at your earliest convenience, be kind enough to tell me which film this is from? I wish to buy it! His extermination in 'Boardwalk Empire' was too quick considering he polished off a couple of innocent women and killed people in the nastiest of ways, ie: getting young Jimmy to slit the throat of a man hanging upside down alongside his meat carcasses! Ghastly geezer - excellent viewing, and not something I'd have shown my Mum!
Thanks Arch!
Sandy Cowell said on 2/Apr/18
I've been watching William playing Manny Horwitz in 'Boardwalk Empire', and he plays a man you mustn't cross! Cross him at your peril, or if he cannot find you, he'll get the ones closest to you!
Well, considering the size of some of the badass characters in this lavish production, William, or Manny the butcher, holds up quite well with being around the 5ft9, or average, mark! He's big and weighty as well, but definitely shorter than the likes of Michael Pitt (5ft10.5) and Jack Huston (6ft), who plays the masked War hero, Richard Harrow, who does actually end the life of this double-crossing butcher as an act of revenge for killing his mate's wife, whom Richard loved! He also allows himself to be used as bait to kill Michael Pitt's character of Jimmy Darmody.
5ft9, or possibly a touch more, seems fine for Mr Forsyth as he is today. In fact, I will give him exactly that, and 5ft10.5 for his peak height. He is nearly 63, and has clearly suffered some height loss.
World Citizen said on 29/Oct/17
Looks 5 ft 8.25 here at best
Charlie said on 2/Sep/17
He looks 5'8 here. I'm confused because online it says he is 6'0 tall. lol. And Nicholas Cage was the exact same height as he was in Raising Arizona and Nicholas Cage is listed as 6'1. I don't think so for Nicholas. 5'8'5 sounds about right for Nicholas Cage.

Man, he's shrinking like he's in his 70's for a man turning 62.

both roughly around inch here.

Rob, he is the same height są you.

I really doubt he has already lost this much height since he looks like he's in good shape. probably another lift wearer and was always under 5'10.

Rob, you could probably go from 5'8 to 5'10 by doing regular stretches. Am I wrong?
Editor Rob
if you already have good posture you can't do much. Have poor posture or a spine that is out of alignment, then there is room to recover to a full height.
Chase Witherspoon said on 23/Sep/16
I can buy 178 peak, and 175 now, he doesn't appear to be absolutely upright in that photo and could've lost an inch by 60's..
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 21/Sep/16

Seriously i don't buy William Forsythe been 5'10.5 peak and lost 1.5 now? Up here he look 5'8 like big rob. Only hair volume higher. My dad was 5'10.75 peak and 5'10.5 nowadays he was the same age as Forsythe. Much believable he was 5'8.75 peak and 5'8 now
Arch Stanton said on 20/Sep/16
He looked a decent 5 ft 10 peak, 5'10.5 is far, doesn't look it here though, more like 5'8.75. Yes, the hair of a 13 year year old in 1994 but as Rob says there's definitely something about him that you'd not want to mess with. I think that was why he was so believable in films like Out for Justice!
Johno said on 20/Sep/16
You can give him 5'8.5 or 5'8.25 but he isn't than you Rob.

I don't know him but he looks barely taller than you... Is he really over 174 in person???
Even if he really was 5'9, that's still an huge loss, considering he's only 61!!! My father is one year older than him and i doubt he's lost more than a few mms...
Editor Rob
yes he's around 5ft 9 up close, for a guy at age 60 I do think it seems a lot, but he could pass for over 5ft 10 in the 80's...
Peter 179cm said on 19/Sep/16
Maybe 174cm nowadays... 5'8.25-5'8.5 at most.

Always was under the impression William was a tall man about six foot, but surprised to see he's not much taller than you.
I also thought William was near 6'0. Seems like a big boned guy. Rob, do you think he's close to 200 lbs?
Shredder said on 19/Sep/16
He looks 5 ft 8 range , unless he is losing height somewhere?
GP said on 19/Sep/16
Nice photo Rob. You guys seem pretty identical height unless he had less footwear. Rob, did he ever claim a height? I'm wondering where the 5'10.5" came from since I doubt he lost about 2inches by 60. I always thought that he was average height in 80s and 90s but he would wear cowboy boots to make him above average.

I just saw this guy at Abruzzos on Saturday, he is filming for te mob doctor in melrose park which is a suburb of Chicago that live by, and although I did my stand next to him he was standing right by me while I was sitting down..and I wouldn't put him past my height 5'10.5", no way..
Sam said on 20/Dec/11
He was about the same height as Michael Pitt on Boardwalk Empire and, since Pitt's only a couple inches over Steve Buscemi tops, I guess the listing is roughly accurate.
