its hard to argue against his claim but i will still do that :P. I have mentioned this before, some people really dont know there height. My father is 188cm he always claims 187 until when i was a teenager i wanted to measure him because i thought he looked taller. And like i suspected he measured 188 cm ( and 189 early in the day about 10 o clock). Also my father asked my grandfather " how tall are you, we are about the same height?" and my grandefather ( mothers father) told him " i think i am 182 cm" they then stood back to back and my father was maybe 1,5 cm taller. This was when my grandfather was pushing 70 years old so lets say he was 186,5 and at peak was 187,5. After that my grandfather claimed " about 185 cm" The same goes with my uncle. He always say " i am about 185 cm" I measured him when i was a teenager because like with my father i thought he looked taller. And he was almost 187 cm. What im trying to say is that some poeple dont care. Its also funny how mutch taller you can be when you dont workout really heavy every day. I havent going to the gym since covid and i am 198 cm in the afternoon now when i just sitt on my ass all day long, from my usual almost 197 cm after a hard workout. I just speculate but i can beleive terry was 185,5 iish peak. And was one onf those guys that didnt really know his exact height and got measured now when he was older and now am just over 6 feet. He looked way to tall in old movies to only have been 6 footer.

Easily looked 6ft 1.5 with 6ft 3 Jonathan Frakes on TNG back in 1994. 6ft 1 is the lowest I'd go for his peak.

i dont believe 184 peak. relly looked over 6´1 in lost. i believe he was 6´1 and had shrunk to 184 during his claim. it makes no sense that he only was 183-184 peak. in young guns and the stepfather he could pull of 188 even.

Editor RobOn Millenium when Terry was in his 40's, I felt he was closer to six feet than six feet one. I personally wouldn't go above the 6ft 1/2 now as a peak.

I can see how he can look at least 6'1 with Jonathan Frakes (if he really was as tall as his 6'3 listing), but on Lost the most I would have guessed him at is 184-5. It's been a while since I have seen the show, but I think a guy like Josh Holloway (who claims and looks 6'1) looked taller than him. So his claim isn't really that surprising to me, especially in the last years. Although I agree that 6' flat is a bit unbelievable as a peak height (especially when he shot that show with Frakes, but maybe not so much when he was in Lost), the strange thing is that, when he came out with these claims, he never mentioned any shrinkage or peak height and I'm sure he measured himself at least once when he was younger...
Rob, I know that you've been adding many old claims from that Spotlight thing recently. It certainly would be interesting to know what Terry claimed when he was younger (in case he ever had one of those listings)...

So his claim isn't really that surprising to me, especially in the last years. Although I agree that 6' flat is a bit unbelievable as a peak height (especially when he shot that show with Frakes, but maybe not so much when he was in Lost), the strange thing is that, when he came out with these claims, he never mentioned any shrinkage or peak height and I'm sure he measured himself at least once when he was younger...
Rob, I know that you've been adding many old claims from that Spotlight thing recently. It certainly would be interesting to know what Terry claimed when he was younger (in case he ever had one of those listings)...

I think you should consider a 6'0.25" or 6'0.5" peak listing. I don't think that's ruled out in his quotes and most of us are shorter by the end of the day than during noon to afternoon.

I think O'Quinn was 6'2" at peak, and he still looks to be around that mark today. Watching him in 1989's BLIND FURY, he looked to be about the same as Rutger Hauer--whom I believe to be more 6'2" than 6'1" at peak--and if anything, he was just a fraction taller than Hauer.
In looking at pictures, he looks to be roughly the same as his LOST co-stars, Holloway and Fox. I think he's dead even with Fox, and I think Holloway is just a bit shorter--more 6'1"ish than Fox & O'Quinn.

There was a scene in Star Trak TNG where O'Quinn and Frakes are squared off with each other and Frakes is marginally taller. However in another scene it looke to be about 2 - 3" diff. I think 6'1.5 is probably correct though.

What the hell? Josh Holloway and him are the same height and Terry O Quinn is listed higher? Holloway is listed at 185cm so that means we should dowgrade O Quinn and Fox if that Josh height is accurate.

I think Terry's losing more height than Josh in that picture, Nicola. Usually they look around the same height. Also, I've never seen either guy look taller than Matthew Fox, though I also never thought there was more than an inch difference between any of them.

Actually Mathew Fox is the shortest of the three. Terry seems to be the one in the middle and Josh seems to be the tallest of the three.
In LOST they make it look as if Mathew is as tall or taller than everyone else because he's supposed to be the leader.
