Daniel, I don't think anyone is denying that height wise, every country will have exceptions to the norm. You can find tall people in every region of the world, even from countries where the people are typically short. I met someone from China but his family was ethnically Russian (he was from Harbin, which use to have a large ethnic Russian population decades ago). He was tall (192 cm) and had a typical Slavic appearance. Obviously, he's not the norm for someone in China but there are tons of ethnic Chinese who are tall and vice versa. It's possible that some of the tall Chinese or Japanese descendants you met in university were from colder/Northern regions? IDK.
Overall, Peru doesn't appear to be a country where the average person is super tall. But like any other place, people of all stature live there. And its probably expected that people in upper class backgrounds around the world would be taller (on average) given that they'd presumably have access to a better diet and other factors that less fortunate do not have.
Anyways, Stephanie looks around 168 cm.

Halen, you misunderstood my comment. I implied that peruvian males from my generation from upper class families are easily on average about 1.75m, give or take.
Christian, every time I see a black (or mostly black) guy on the streets he happens to be tall, usually no less than 1.80m. A lot of them are 1.85m or more, not being rare for them to be between 1.88m and 1.90m.
Believe me, I am a Peruvian guy myself, who has been height conscious since his late teens, and I know very well what I am talking about.

@Daniel
If black Peruvians were really 6'0"+ on average, then the overall Peruvian population would be way higher than it really is.

I forgot to mention, Peruvian boys of my generation from upper classes (whites or mostly white mestizos - "criollos") when I was a University student used to be of medium height or tallish, quite taller than me, being the norm 5'9'' and more, and many of them were not less than 5'11''. Even the Peruvian guys from Asian origin (mostly from Chinese or Japanese descent) at the private University where I studied were taller than 5'7'' on average, and it was not uncommon for them to be around 5'11'' or sometimes a bit more.

Nope. She is tall indeed, but not huge for her socioeconomic background. Younger generations are taller than 20 or more years ago. She grew up in the late 90s.
Besides she seems to be mostly (although not necessarily full) of white ancestry and they tend to be taller than people of mostly aborigine descent. And most of all, she comes from a non-poor family, being of upper middle or upper class instead, and children from these families normally are considerably taller than the national average.
That said, here in PerΓΊ there is a lot of intermingling, so most people are mestizo (amerindian & white combined in different proportions and degrees), like myself :).
There is also a lot of black genes among the population, especially in coastal cities, like Lima, the capital. There are even a lot of people of mongolic descent (Asian), more or less mixed with the aforementioned.
Speaking of height, in PerΓΊ the tallest people in average are the ones from mostly black origin, that is, blacks or mixed with strong black genetic proportion. They are quite tall indeed, being the norm around 6 feet tall (or even more) for the men and 5'6'' for the women.
By the way, I am 5'6'' tall, 45 year old male from Lima, and a lot (roughly 60% to 70%) of my friends or acquaintances at the University (the guys) were taller than me, some of them much taller. Younger male students were on average 1 inch taller at least. The ladies used to be around 4 inches shorter than the gentlemen on average.

A 5'6 girl looks like a 5'7 guy. She is tall
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 2/Jun/20
True, her height would be the equivalent of a 5'10"-5'11" woman in the US. But she appears to be of European/Caucasian descent,, where as many Peruvians tend to be of majority indigineous Amerindian descent, so that could explain why she's relatively tall. I personally know several Peruvian women who're of indigenous descent, and none of them are over 150cm. I also know a Peruvian guy, but he's Caucasian (as his family comes from Spain) and he's over 6 feet tall.

Sheβs VERY tall for a Peruvian girl!

Nice Rob , considering that the average height of a Peruvian woman is 152 cm (under 5 ft) , she's a tall girl. 5'6 is spot on. It's great to see another Peruvian celebrity. π

Yes.. This peruvian female model is 5ft 6 as she claimed.. Considerably much taller than average Central American women like Peruvian and Ecuadorian women average height with 5footer range..... She definitely ISNT considered to be petit women based on her ethnicity....
