I simply HAVE to add something that was said by one of the parapsychologists in The Entitity: “You cannot photograph an hallucination…..”
Now that I’d like to see, but I surmise we will have to stick to our own imaginations plus the use of pens and paper!

Ron didn’t look small in The Entity, which I saw last night.
I think I was a little too hard on him when I saw the film as a youngster. Psychiatric doctors are programmed to pooh-pooh anything supernatural. I got the impression that Ron’s Doctor character genuinely cared for Carla.
At that stage in his, he could pass for 5ft9, but I’m going to give him his evening height of 5ft8.5. There were plenty of actors in The Entity who were shorter than Ron.
✝️ I observed only last night that he has died. What a terrible shame. He can’t have been very old. I’ll be back later with his dates.

Hello MJKoP!
I have The Entity right here with me, which is just as well because I am looking after four cats who belong to a couple I am friends with. The lady is in hospital and the gentleman, who isn’t well himself, has just lost his brother. The frail couple have to arrange the brother’s funeral; he was only 56..
There was a few minutes ago a nasty cat fight between two ginger and white sisters. One is established here and the other involved in the scrap is a guest cat. Upon hearing the fight, I paused the film I’m currently watching to split the cats up. The new sister was so scared that she was hiding behind a curtain. I removed the ‘attacker sister’, Lunular, and talked calmly to the frightened little victim cat before carrying her to safety. I didn’t care that she scratched me. It was inevitable, as her nose had been put right out of joint, so to speak. She has now had some Whiskas cat milk and a munch, and is certainly feeling better as her eyes’ pupils are no longer dilated. I dare not leave the cats, all girls, until they are completely calm.
I saw The Entity at a cinema called The Screen on Islington Green as they showed a selection of dated horror films at midnight every Friday night. I’d already seen it, but movies always look so much better on the big screen, and it terrified me once again, especially as it’s based on a true story. I liked Barbara Hershey but I couldn’t stand Ron Silver as he was meant to be caring for the victimised woman but was an out-and-out sceptic. I’ll be back with his height when I’ve watched the film. Frankly, I found him rather weasel-like!
I hope you and your loved ones are all well,
My very best to you, Adam,
Sandy XXXXX 😁👍🏼🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛

im going with 5-7.
[Editor Rob: this guy could be a lift wearer...in films I can't remember him looking that short]
Why G, did he edge you out buddy? ;-)
No, they might've been the exact same height, since maybe G hadn't yet grown that extra inch to hit the 'magical' 5'8" mark, LMAO!

Listing seems fine to me. No way Ron Silver was 5'7 unless he was a big time lift wearer. Just watched Blue Steel a very under-rated movie with Silver and Jamie Lee Curtis as the leads. He is comfortably taller then Curtis I mean what kind of lifts is he wearing 2-3 inches I doubt Curtis was in flats all movie.

I didn't like his 'Doubting Thomas' character in 'The Entity' - he came over as a bit of a slime ball - and in the film 'Blue Steel', he really was beneath contempt! If I was in any way interested, I would have guessed him to be this height exactly, but I am not, so I don't know why I wrote this!

Rob can you add a photo and update with "American actor best remembered for TV series such as The West Wing, Chicago Hope and Baker's Dozen and films such as TimeCop, Reversal of Fortune, Ali, The Entity, Blue Steel, The Arrival, Red Mercury and The White Raven.
Yeah 5'8" range next to Jeremy Irons in Reversal I'd say, Irons had a good 6 inches on him. Reminds me facially a bit of Ibrahomivic and Weird al Yankovic, like a cross between the two!

RIP Ron. No matter how tall you were, you were first and foremost a great actor!

His claim, I found in a Fox news interview in 2004:
"I'm 5'9"
