Itโs as well that Barbaraโs Carla has just a good friend in Cindy, played by the late Margaret Bye.
I found 170cm for Margaret, but she looks rather shorter.
She was born on the 24th October, 1942, and passed away on the 24th March, 2016. She was such a lovely friend to Carla that she deserves a page! She had a creep for her other half as well, called George! ๐
Those two ladies were ideally suited as friends.

What a louse of a boyfriend she had, scampering off and leaving his girl on her own with her kids. Thatโs no man - thatโs a mouse and a coward!

Barbara was in some shockers, thatโs for sure, but I think The Entity was the scariest. I knew it had a frightful ending, but Iโd forgotten just how disgusting it was, the demon using the โcโ word as she entered her own premises. ๐คช
When I first saw it, at 22, I suspected that her attacker might be the spirit of her errant boyfriend, and father to her son, Billy, but now I feel that something with such evil in him must be of a demonic nature.
5ft4. Barbara is also great in Black Swan, Falling Down and Insidious. These are the only ones of hers that I have, and Iโd like to see more.

Actually, Barbara could quite easily pass for taller, to the tune of one-and-a-half inches or so.

I found out only recently that 'Boxcar Bertha' is a Martin Scorsese film, his second one I think, which makes it that much more appealing to buy myself a copy. She'll be in her prime too, as the movie hails from 1972, but this lady has always looked pukka and has aged very well.
5ft4. ๐๐๐น

I never tire of Barbara Hershey films because they're all so different, and often controversial. Right from when I saw her at 22 in 'The Entity', I knew she had something special to offer the wonderful world of showbusiness.
I just turned over to find Barbara starring in a film called 'Ted Bundy: Stranger Beside Me' - a Ted Bundy movie I actually haven't heard of. Barbara stars as a woman working in the Police department and her hair is shorter than usual and gorgeously thick. She is wearing some kind of heel, giving rise to a smart, trouser-suited professional look.
I know Barbara to be 5ft4 - and that's what she looks in this, bearing in mind the heel, which levitates her height to around 5ft6, so 5ft4 it'll be! ๐ฉ๐

Thanks Rob! ๐

@ Rob - Barbara was also in the brilliant shocker 'Insidious'! Now you HAVE to add that!!!
(please!)

@Rob, can you squeeze in Last Summer? One of her signature films I think, belongs after The Entity.

Eek! That should have read 'there ARE some truly scary moments....'
I do apologize!

@ Arch Stanton. - Hello Arch! You won't be disappointed if you see her in 'Riding the Bullet'! I bought it despite reading mixed internet reviews; I think the fact that Tobe Hooper rates it as one of his very best in ages carried more weight for me than the rantings of the few who didn't appreciate the complexity of the story!
Anyhow, Barbara plays the redheaded Mum of the central character and there a some truly scary moments that are 100% down to her!

She's a lovely looking woman, particularly in 70s and 80s, and a great actress to boot.

The other day, I was looking through a few Stephen King offerings when I saw one with Barbara Hershey in it. I thought, "Well, I'm having that for starters! WHAT a recommendation!"
Stephen King material acted out by one of the most fantastic actresses ever! If she's in a film, I'll buy it!
This film is called 'Riding the Bullet' (I think!) and is now on its way to my house!
I never really gave her height much thought. She is a normal
womanly height, I would have guaged and does 5ft4 qualify? Of course it does!

Click Here^That site claims she's 5' 6". The movies I've seen her in, she always appears to be short and definitely NOT 5' 6". More like 5' 3".

she's slightly unproportionate so she does not appear 5'4 even though she might actually be.
i'd say 5'3.5 - 5'4.
