He's worth adding, Rob. Also known for Mary Tyler Moore Show and Too Close For Comfort. I reckon about 5ft8 if Rodney was 5ft10 minimum in Caddyshack. Possibly 174-175cm in his younger days.

Where Ted Knight goes to choke Rodney, Rodney has a clear inch over him, so I think 5'10" is right for Rodney since Ted is 5'9"

There was a scene in Caddyshack where Dangerfield and Ted Knight appeared to be the same height (Knight was listed as 5'9").

"Dangerfields" was the name of the club if I remember. Jack Cassidy was the guy my father would get drunk the most with, Sean's father.

I met Rodney in Vegas about 10 years ago. Actually, I was the lucky woman chosen to go on stage and give him a kiss in exchange for his tie (a part of his act). I am 5'5" and I was wearing 3.5" heals. Rodney was still 2 inches over me (long arms, sweaty hands...long story). So he kept his 5'10.5" height til the end.

He was about 5'10. He was a bit taller than 5'10 Sally Kellerman.... so maybe about a half inch or so above this mark.

He use to be 5'10.5 to 5'11, now he is probably 5'9.5 to 5'10. This height is correct. I don't think he is now closer to 5'8. In back to school a kid says 'hey, your the one that makes those obnoxious commercials! Your tall and fat! And he replies "well your short and ugly!"

I heard him tell David Letterman years ago he was 6'2" which is the same as David Letterman according to Letterman but I don' think Dangerfield was six two and I don't think Letterman is six two.
