He looks taller than Melo in the pic (or the same height, considering distance from Camera). For his height, Carmelo Anthony has a tiny head and very high shoulders. Per is more proportional, so might seem shorter despite the fact that the top of his head is clearly higher. I agree with Rob’s listing, 6’6.5 or 199-200cm.

Sometimes, claiming quarters of an inch and half an inch varies. However, that 199.5 cm seems too specific that it does sound like he was measured, rather than simply stating it.

Just compare him to his (former) teammates like Boateng (6ft3.5/192cm), Neuer (6ft4/193), Čech (6ft5/196cm) or Naldo, (6ft6/198cm). He is definitely taller than them (yes, even 6ft6 Naldo) and in some pictures he even seems to tower over Boateng, Hummels and Neuer (between 191cm and 193cm) by about 4 inches. There is no way he is shoter than 200cm. He looks like a legit 6ft7 to me. If you don't belive me, look at him standing next to Peter Crouch.

True Story:
Before he became a professional player (in the same year he debuted for hannover) in Hannover - I met him. I had a friend who played with him in the youth team. The first thing I registered was his height and I asked him how tall he is. He just answered "too tall" then he said 1-98 .. it could very well be that he isn't someone who is very proud for his height.

Indeed, check him out with Van Persie. Looks about 6 inches taller. Persie is supposed to be around 6 ft 1.

Editor Rob generally he can look more than the 198cm, when compared to other footballers, at times he can look 6ft 6.5 in fact.
