Hi Rob. In the movie self/less with Ryan Reynold, he was at the very least 1.5 inches shorter in dress shoes compared to Ryan. Than would make Ryan 6'3-6'3.25. I do think that Ryan is at least 6'2 and maybe 6'2.5.
More realistically Matthew is 6'1 max. Notice he is thin and slenderly built which makes him look taller. 187 cm is impossible.

I am forced to agree with flash_of_eden rob. He looked really tall in the watchmen. I am not sure if that is just how they filmed him (since they were also able to make 5`8 billy crudup look quite tall next to his cast), but he did genuinely look quite tall. I would say that he is certainly 6`2, with the possibility of being even taller.
