English former footballer and manager, who played for Liverpool, Hamburger SV, Southampton and Newcastle United. A twice winner of the Ballon D'Or, he played 63 times for England, also managing the national team in 1999-2000. He was also a manager at Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester City. Whilst at Liverpool he gave his Height/Weight as "5ft 7 ½ins, 10st 10lbs (150 pounds)", although latterly - at Newcastle - gave it as an even 5ft 7.

I’ve got pictures of myself and him [Maradona] together because he wanted my shirt after the game and I tower above him. I’m barely 5 feet 8 inches (173 centimetres). He would be about 5ft 6ins but he was enormous on a football field.

When he was the subject of “This Is Your Life” in the seventies, Eamon Andrews asked him outright how tall he was and Keegan replied, “If I take off these platform shoes, I drop down to about 5’ 6”.” I don’t know if that particular episode of the series is on youtube but if it is you needn’t take my word for it, you can hear it for yourselves.

5'6 flat and 5'6.5 peak is my guess.At most id say a solid 168cm for him-a fraction over 5'6.

Think the average guess is about right, I think. Maybe 5'6.25 at lunchtime, so would expect him to measure a few mm under that in the afternoon. 5'6-5'6.25 range. 5'6.25 may be possible measurement if standing tallest though.

Editor RobI'm not sure he looked 5ft 7.5 during his playing days, I'd still go with 5ft 7 and in the 5ft 6.25-.5 range today.

Editor RobNormal shoe, pretty close to 1 inch like myself. I think he looks close to what he is, somewhere in 5ft 6-6.5 range, maybe measuring right around 169 with best posture...
