My coworker met him in 2015 when he visited the states my colleague got a pic my He’s a about 185cm as well but John had better footwear and John looked like 187cm with good foot wear. You can see the difference in the slightest this listing I think is correct

The man looks sub 6'1" in Scrubs, does not look like he holds it well up to Neil Flynn, by any means. A true 6'2" man would not look like he is almost towered by a 6'5" guy, no way.

With his friend Christopher Meloni he doesn't quite look the full inch taller. Meloni was clearly no more than six foot even with the Man of Steel cast, so that would put McGinley around 6'0.75" IMO.

Seeing him with Braff over and over again, the more I see them the more I think they're very close. I would be totally shocked if someone would measure them accurately and notice more than 2 cm difference between them. I think McGinley has shrunk a tad bit over the years. On SCRUBS, J.D. and Dr. Cox look the same height.......but they're not. Zack's big hairdo gives him a 1 inch advantage and it makes the two actors look like they are the same height.

I just messed up with counting :) Maybe 3 inches is right. However Braff could well be a full 6'0". McGinley is really close, I don't think he has a full inch on Braff. My guess is 5'11.5/6'0" range for Braff and 6'0"/6'0.5 range for McGinley.

You're right James, but maybe the difference could be explained by their footwear or something else. If he's really 2.5-3 inches shorter than Laurie he would be 5'11"-5'10.5 and that would put McGinley at 5'11.5 that sounds too short for me.

The guy measured him with a measuring tape...hardly very accurate holding a tape against somenone. Unless the guy measuring him was the same height or taller then he's gonna be out by a bit. The guy measured him with a measuring tape...hardly very accurate holding a tape against somenone. Unless the guy measuring him was the same height or taller then he's gonna be out by a bit. Hugh, how can you say that..Have you watched scrubs? Just look at him next to Zach braff, they're exactly the same height..They both wear sneakers on the show. Mcginley looks maybe a cm taller...1cm not an inch

At times he doesn't look much taller than Donald Faison who is reportedly 5, 10". I have never seen him look taller than Zach Braff who is reportedly 6 feet so I would say 184cm at the ABSOLUTE MAX if not around 183 but no more than that in my opinion, never looks 6, 1" at any rate.

David Morse is bent over slightly while McGinley is rigid upright. I'd say there could be up to 4 inch difference there 6' - 6'0.5" sounds about right for McGinley. Scrubs backs that up.
