I'd go with 5ft11¾ at least, if not the full 6ft. Looked relatively tall on Scrubs except in scenes with Neil Flynn (strong 6ft5 peak, weak 6ft5 today). There's plenty of guys listed here at 6ft that I think Zach would edge out

I don't think he's over 5'11.5. With 185-186 cm Jim Parsons he can look 4-5 cm shorter, and he was often barely edged by 182 cm Tom Cavanagh ("Dan" on Scrubs), maybe they were the same height. 181-182 cm is believable for Braff.

It may be because of his proportions, and it's hard to gauge his height using photos of his upper body only or pix taken with wide angle lenses, but he doesn't seem to be much taller than Kelso from the Scrubs photo, which would put him about 3~4 inches taller than Kelso (5'7", but really seems like 5'5") and make him 5'10 ish. Also from watching Scrubs, when placed up against other daily objects like scooters, elevators, doorways, tables, vending machines, etc, he really didn't strike me as a 6' guy. And no way McGinley is 6'2", that makes him as tall as Will Smith! He seems more like 6' or closer to 5'11" to me. Really this height inflation with Hollywood actors is crazy.

He could be 6 feet even in the morning, Braff is a skinny guy and many skinny guys appear to be taller such as Leonardo DiCaprio. He is probably 5'11" in the evening with no shoes. I did an experiment for several days and realized my height in the morning was half an inch taller than in the evening. I am 6 feet tall in the evening and gain a half an inch in the morning. This seems to have something to do with expansion and contraction of the discs between the vertebrae in my spinal column.

Hugh, if you're claiming Flynn is 6'4.5" tops then there is no way in hell Braff is over 6'. Braff looks at least 6" shorter than Flynn. Saw an episode yesterday and Braff came up to the bottom of Flynn's nose. That means 7" diff. I strongly believe Braff is 5'11".

JD looks tiny in that photo. If he was a legit 6' (i.e. barefoot, afternoon height) he would not look that small. That would mean the average height of the rest of the male cast would be around 5' 11". You can even see him stretching his neck out. He looks 7" under Neil Flynn. My guess would be AT BEST 5'11".

I've never accepted 6' for Braff. He looks 5'11". John C. McGinley I have pegged at 6' even. He was a full inch below Carson Daly (6'1"). There's about an inch between Braff and McGinley. I would put money on 5'11"

If he stood up straight he would be easily 3" taller.
