Geoff is starring in Carry On At Your Convenience, which I’m enjoying mightily!

Well, there’s a surprise; I saw him this morning on an old Coronation Street so maybe today is his day…..🤨

I must add that in neither incident did he look small.

Geoff was always so lazy and funny in 'Coronation Street', 'Heartbeat' and 'Keeping Up Appearances'; those parts simply BELONGED to him! Fancy being called 'Twiggy' in 'The Royle Family'! 😂😂😂👌

Geoff starred with The Beatles in their film 'Yellow Submarine', and had a part in the very funny 'Carry On At Your Convenience'. 🚽

He appeared in serious and comedy alike, but he was best suited to the more amusing genre of films and TV shows.
It's hard to believe he hasn't been with us now for nearly 8 years, his prostate cancer eventually returning and claiming his life at the age of 68.

I can understand that some people might have taken him for shorter because he was on the bulky side, but there were enough actors and actresses I knew the heights of starring with him to prevent me from thinking he was shorter.

Just before I turned over to the Soaps, I heard Geoff's very distinct voice on an episode of 'Heartbeat'!

I always thought he was a bit shorter than this, around 5ft 8in. I think he was even listed as 5ft 8in in some places but then many internet listings are notoriously inaccurate!

I saw him in the foyer at the Oldham coluseum a few years ago. I'm 5'10 and he was at least my height.

Geoffrey looks a little smaller in the above picture, I'd say 5ft9 at most, but in 'Coronation Street', he was without doubt, a convincing, strong 5ft10!
I think comedy roles suited him best! He was always a lazy, greedy, hilarious slob-type on 'Keeping Up Appearances', which my Mum used to love, but thinking about it in some effortless depth, he played exactly the same in 'Coronation Street'!
I shall cast a vote for Geoff's all-time-high, as he is no longer with us: 5ft10!
