Having been so entertaining by befriending one of his captors, played by Stephen Rhea, they sit laughing and joking and Forest tells a fable to Stephen. Then Forest needs a pee, but as he’s tied up, he requires Stephen’s help. When Stephen protests, Forest says, “It’s only a piece of meat…..” and other funny things!
Forest is indeed a tall man as we can see at the beginning when Miranda Richardson sets a honey trap in order to capture him. In comparison, her 5ft4.5 looks like it might belong to a schoolgirl!

He looked very big in Fast Times but that was probably due to the mainly short cast. Had a better chance of a bit over 6ft2 in his prime than under. Today he's probably closer to 6ft1½

Oddly, on the backdoor pilot episode for Whitakers' short-lived Criminal Minds spinoff, he really didn't look taller than Thomas Gibson who often doesn't look the full 6'1.5" he's given on this site. I'm not saying that Gibson's listing is wrong, but I expected Whitaker to look clearly taller. Based on the episode, I'd have guessed them both around the same height. Whitaker was 48 at the time, so height loss would probably be minimal.

Always did a good job on support roles definitely earned his way every step of the way.
He has made many lack luster movies worth a watch, comes off tall most times.

They only looked close in height in Street Kings because of Keanu standing with perfect posture and Forest slouching heavily. Are you sure he's not more than 6'2'' Rob. On the Shield he looks close to 6'4''. He is so heavily built that it's hard to guess his height. I've noticed this before when standing next to people who are tall but also massive in build. For some reason this makes it difficult to estimate height. I can usually guess within an inch or so but with very heavily set people the best I can estimate is say 6'2'' to 6'5''. I don't know why this is the case. Maybe their build distracts or maybe because their different you can't compare them with other 6'2'' or 6'4'' guys in your mind.
Are you sure he's not more than 6'2'' Rob. On the Shield he looks close to 6'4''. He is so heavily built that it's hard to guess his height. I've noticed this before when standing next to people who are tall but also massive in build. For some reason this makes it difficult to estimate height. Read the DMX page.he had weird posture that made him seem 5-8 to some and 5-9,5-10 to me.when I developed my pics he looked 5-11,6ft next to me,2 different pics,different parts of concrete on this street.he didnt appear that tall to me.how do you explain that?
