On his twitter he claimed to be "5'11" and in 2016 after hip replacement surgery mentioned "I stand straighter, am an inch taller.". On another occasion he joked "However Devastated by Fake News from the Daily Mail online Who say I measure just under 5'10" ...When I am actually 5' 10 and a HALF !!!!! 😃"

I used to be 5 foot 10 and a half, but I was measured by the doctor recently.
He said "How tall are you?"
I said, "5 foot 10 and a half."
And he said, "No you’re not, you’re 5 foot 9!"
As you get older, your back compresses and things happen.

He’s not that old, no idea how he’s lost so much height considering his occupation isn’t physically demanding in the slightest, you’d expect if he was a bricky or something fair enough but not someone who sits at a desk for 90 percent of the day

Eammonn seems quite hung up about his height and the height of others. He mentions height quite a lot. He's 59 now so he might have lost a bit. My guess is 5ft 10in.

Yes, I thought he wasn't 6'0", closer to 5'10" or 5'11". Eamonn is 5'10.5"-5'11".

I found out recently that Caroline (Mrs Merton) Aherne used to be Eamonn's secretary when she worked for the BBC. I found that rather interesting!

I think she's a very attractive woman, one of the most attractive women on TV of all ages IMO. Reminds me of a bit of Diana Rigg in the 60s. Looks like she'd be great fun to be with too. Eamonn's a lucky man as Rob says ;-)
