ITV is getting ridiculous. Colour of skin does not matter. To sack somebody because they're white and 60. I get racial equality and "woke", but c'mon. Lovely 5'7 Ruth should rip into the ITV bosses!

Ruth is on the cover of my May magazine. It was sources like this that I used to find out the heights of stars, but now I don't have it necessary! 😃

I remember waiting in the hospital TV room watching Ruth on TV just before my hip operation. She had an amazing calming effect on me, and I have never forgotten that!

I walked into my lounge today where the TV was on in order to respect the 2 minute silence and I just about caught the last couple of minutes of a feature about a terribly sick whippet hound who was taking his last ever walk tomorrow before he is put to sleep.
The owner was in tears; the dog has been his faithful friend for 18 whole years. Although he has more whippets, it doesn't take the pain away, though it is, hopefully, going to be of some comfort to the poor man that he can cuddle his other dogs.
There wasn't a dry eye in the studio and my heart broke for a moment just looking at the pretty little dog and his devastated owner.

Ruth's height doesn't in any way surprise me. She carries herself incredibly well and looks years younger than her age. The 11 stone weight that she carries must contain a high percentage of lean muscle tissue as I would have thought her to be 10 pounds less. When I look at her I see a slim and shapely woman, and NOT what is now called 'curvy', a word recently used as a term to describe plump but comely women.

PS The dog is called Walnut, a gorgeous name for a gorgeous whippet! RIP Walnut! Love you!
