even with bad posture, dean looked much taller than eamonn walker on hbo's oz. both are listed at 6ft flat, yet in oz dean almost looks an inch or two taller. here's a clear shot with either side by side Click Here

I'm all for 6ft0½ but I think that means that Dean's height would need to be looked at again because it's hard to distinguish them height-wise

Editor Robhalf inch can get consumed in photos. I would give Scott a possible edge, maybe 6ft 1/2, not as much as 6ft 1 though

Still think this guy is a bit over the six foot mark, he looks 6'1" not infrequently on screen but not saying he's quite that tall.

Looked more 184/185cm on Oz. Edged Eamon Walker and Ernie Hudson ( both 182/183cm) and more than 1in taller than Terry Kinney (listed 180cm here but looks more 181/182cm)

In Oz, he was noticeably taller than Eamonn Walker who is about 6 ft sharp. He does however, seem a little bit shorter than his brother, Scott William, who is also in the same show.

6 foot even seems kind of low... in Oz he did look a smidge taller than many of his 6-foot co-stars. I'd say he is closer to 6'0"5, maybe even 6'1".

To be fair to Dean, i didn't even know him before these photos with Lance... But i've recently seen him in Oz and, taking the other listings for granted, he really can look 6'1! I mean, he certainly doesn't look something like 1.5 inches shorter than Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who of course isn't a big 6'2 like he says! He can look similar to him and even taller at times (but Ade's posture isn't that good in Oz at times)... With Duhamel, he looks at least 3 good inches shorter, so 6' is a good listing, IMO! Before that, i was really shocked to see he was listed at 6'1 because he looked nowhere near that next to Lance, more like 5'11 max, especially now that Rob decided to give Lance 6'2 flat! But he certainly can look 6'1, if you compare him with "other listings"! And, hey, if you're wondering what shoes they're wearing, here's a photo from the same event: Click Here

Editor Rob a small fraction by 50 is common, some won't lose any, some maybe 0.2-0.3, some maybe even 0.5...those with extreme physical work and injuries could lose 0.5-1 inch range.

Hey rob, is 6.025/6.05 in his prime possible for dean? I agree that in law and order he may wear lifts now as he towers over amaro,but in the earlier episodes he was closer to richard belzer than Christopher meloni who was also in his prime and whom you have listed as 6tt on this site.

Editor Rob unsure if he'd have lost height by late 40's, but at times he could look over 6ft, other times he looks around the mark.

He will ALWAYS be Ryan O'Reilly! 6'1" is spot on for him. He looked about 1" shorter than bona fide 6'2" OZ co-stars Robert Clohessy (Officer Sean Murphy) and Adelwale Akinnouye-Agbaje (Adebisi).
