Darius Campbell's Height
6ft 4 ⅛ (193.4 cm)
Scottish Singer and West End Actor. He says in an MTV interview: "I'm 6 foot 2 and 3/4 but I reckon people think I'm taller 'cos my hair is quite high."

I can see only two reasons he'd downgrade his height. Firstly, he doesn't like being as tall as he is. People like that do exist, I've met a few in my life. Secondly, and more likely in my opinion, job opportunities in the entertainment industry are less for people over a certain height, in the same way that they are less for those under a certain height.

It's just there's some people on here you seem more rigidly set with than others. Every poster says exactly the same thing but if you don't agree with it it remains as it is. Rampage in particular I've seen repeat himself 20 or 30 times on the same page LOL and he's really wasting his time as not every guy is 189 ;-). Over the years you've agreed with me on a heck of a lot of changes, most in fact, generally we agree on at least 90% of the listings don't we and you've always been quite responsive when I've shown some video clips and images with tweaks or where I've made suggestions you've said "quite possible" even if not altered. There's also been a few cases when I argued something and like this you sort of said that and let it stay as it was and then a few years later it eventually ends up at the listing I'd thought originally haha! I'm often wrong though, we're all guessing! Admittedly I find 6'4 + range tougher to guess because skinny guys in that range can really pull off taller and they're further away from average height to really nail them. I'm better at guessing on upper average to 6'3 range than very tall. I googled Tim Rice and Darius and he looked about 3 inches taller than Tim in pictures as the previous poster more or less states. They can't both be 6'4'' although Darius is much younger won't have lost any height. I think Darius is 6'5'' or thereabouts.

Darius will be just over 6ft 3 and a 1/2" tall barefoot. I've met him several times and had pics with him. His shoes normally have about 1/2 inch heel, meaning he stands over 6ft 4" in the street. I've met Natasha too a couple of times. She's between 5'8 and 5'9, so in heels stands a good 6ft!

I remember watching it with my sister and us both laughing at his claim as it was pretty obvious he was looking nearer 6 ft 5 in comparison. I still think 6'4.5" would be a better listing.

But no, she actually comes up to his eye line a lot, which would tend to suggest he could be under 6'4" if anything. I'd say 6'3.5", 6'4" is possible. Over 6'4" seems unlikely.

6'4 at VERY least, could probably look as tall as 6'6 without to much trouble.
Too hard to estimate height from people on stage, but I'd say 6'4.5/6'5 is a safe bet, likely in the 193-196 cm range.

His dad looks around 6', mother about the same height in low heels so she's probably 5'10 ish. Obviously gets his height from his mother. But doesn't look a legit 6'5" in that photo IMO proportionally.

as a side note to my previous comment I saw Gareth Gates at some club night (when he was still relatively famous) and he is the 6'1 that he claims. Which I found funny at the time as I always thought he'd be around 5'9.

He has very similar proportions to a peak Christopher Lee, looked just like Dracula in the opera. Not quite as skinny as Lee but still slim. I think 6'4.5" would be nearer what he is. But I think he's obviously not under 6'5" in shoes, a good example of a strong 6'4" guy I think.

I chatted to Darius at the bar on a upper class Virgin Atlantic flight from LA recently. I'm 6.2 and he was easily 3inches taller than me shoes off! No way is he my height...he is 6.5 to 6.5 1/2 he does slouch and has issue with drumming down his true height. Darius is big bloke, easy weighs least 16st, 220lb about 100kg, he was accompanied by gorgeous Russian blond. Well done Darius!!

It is strange indeed but Darius is not alone.
Justin Hayward has always claimed to be 6'1", sometimes 6'1.5", when anyone who has stood within eyesight of him or even seen pictures of him standing next to other "reportedly taller" celebrities can see he's at least 6'2", if not 6'3". I agree with AndyF's point about Darius and the comments he got on Popstars and Pop Idol. These things can play on your mind for a long time. Hayward grew to almost the height he is now when he was still in his early teens so was a lanky teenager and has not only lied about his height but doesn't stand up straight.
Emma Bunton may have been 5'1" when she started with the Spice Girls but she was still at an age where some people still have growing to do. There is no way she is still 5'1". I'm 5'1" and she is about 1.5"-2" taller than me.

Justin Hayward has always claimed to be 6'1", sometimes 6'1.5", when anyone who has stood within eyesight of him or even seen pictures of him standing next to other "reportedly taller" celebrities can see he's at least 6'2", if not 6'3". I agree with AndyF's point about Darius and the comments he got on Popstars and Pop Idol. These things can play on your mind for a long time. Hayward grew to almost the height he is now when he was still in his early teens so was a lanky teenager and has not only lied about his height but doesn't stand up straight.
Emma Bunton may have been 5'1" when she started with the Spice Girls but she was still at an age where some people still have growing to do. There is no way she is still 5'1". I'm 5'1" and she is about 1.5"-2" taller than me.

Two, boyfriends were 6'2 in their socks.Have seen Darius from 3ft away -he's definitely taller, my guess 6'4 in socks.ie in shoes could be 6'6! Very fit too-did 3 laps of a rugby ground still singing and not breathless!

I reckon there is a reason for this, Mikex. When he was on Popstars and Pop Idol, he was discussed as being too tall for the type of performances that the judges were after. Look at Boy Bands--the ideal height for them seems to be about 5'9". You will never find anyone over 6'2" in a boy band.
My guess is that this registered with Darius at the time and unconciously or otherwise he tended to downplay his height. It is like a reverse effect of what short people do.
I really do think he is at least 6'4". At least--'cos I remember seeing Tony Hadley on telly saying that Darius was taller than him.
Now that Darius's career has developed into something more personal to him whereby he does not have to conform to any boy-band or pop-idol image, I think he will be more relaxed about his real height.
I saw a picture in a tabloid supplement the other week where Danesh was walking with Geri Halliwell. He looked 2 feet taller than her! I exaggerate, natch, but even given Geri's height, he still looked at least 6'4".

Editor Rob he's said 6ft 2 3/4, 6ft 3, 3.5, maybe once said 6ft 4, but he's a genuingely tall guy. Maybe doesn't like being 6ft4?

He was measured on Terry and Gaby's show and he was 6ft 4. I've met him a few times. He often, almost automatically, tries to "shrink down" to reduce the gap between himself and someone he's with/speaking to.
