I haven't written on Dara's page for four and two thirds years now, and it had long left my memory that he's all of six foot four, which is hardly surprising because I've only ever watched the comedian on quiz shows, when he's sitting down. He must have a lot of his height in his legs, because sometimes, you CAN notice that a person is very tall when he's sitting down.

My oh my - I've just seen the above picture, and Dara's legs aren't long in proportion to the rest of him AT ALL! 🤭 I think that if guys leave their shirts dangling instead of tucking them in, it gives the illusion of cutting the height down quite considerably.

Arch I saw Dara in London back in 2013 and he looked a bit slimmer than I expected.
He didn't look as tall as I thought he would do either but I guess street/pavement level can throw things of.

No I was right 280 of course is 20 stone, it was 17 st-19 stone I had wrong I was thinking 17 st was 240 and 19 was 268 but it's 266 pounds. 17 stone is 238, 18 is 252, 19 is 266, 20 is 280, 21 is 294 and 22 308.

I would never have thought Dara was THAT tall. Is isn't really 'shaped' like a tall person in my eyes and though he clearly IS tall, his stockiness takes off a good 0.75+ of an inch.

He he I know I said my last post would be on the clint eastwood page but I couldn't resist to tell you this rob.....
I was in London last May and by a freak chance I spotted Dara O'Briain. As well as being shocked to see him in the flesh I was also surprised that he did not look as tall as I would have pictured. He didn't look 6'4 to me at all more like 6'2.
Is it possible rob that maybe the street where i sighted Dara might have made him look shorter from my point of view? He was lower down the street than me

In the photo he was wearing dress shoes with a slight heel and I was wearing cons. If you look at the photo youll see he is leaning in slightly and im standing upright. The gap is still more than 1.5 inches due to his shoes. I'd say he was at least 6'5 with the shoes he was wearing.

He is massive but was very nice about having the photo taken with me despite it being 5am during the Fringe! Im 6'2.5 and a UK13 show but he was much broader than me. I weigh 14 stone (196 lbs) but id guess hed be at least 16 (224 lbs). I was 17 when that photo was taken and ive bulked up a fair bit since then! lol.
He is massive but was very nice about having the photo taken with me despite it being 5am during the Fringe! Im 6'2.5 and a UK13 show but he was much broader than me. I weigh 14 stone (196 lbs) but id guess hed be at least 16 (224 lbs). I was 17 when that photo was taken and ive bulked up a fair bit since then! lol.

He's a pretty tall bloke, indeed. It was so funny seeing him interviewing Lucy Porter (pint sized!) at the Edinburgh comedy festival. He was about twice her height! It actually looked ridiculous and she said her neck was sore looking up!

I'd like to see him and Fry match up. Fry's 6'4.5" on this site (which looks about right to be honest) and Dara wouldn't be much smaller but somehow I can picture Stephen being maybe an inch taller. To me Dara looks about 6'3.5"?

yeh 6'4" is about right. on the tv show "QI", they were discussing the average height of eskimos being 5'4", and he said "well i'd be exactly a foot taller"

Thats me in the pic and me that submitted it to celebheights and to be honest he looked taller than 6'4. I was measured when i was 18 as i was playing basketball for scotland so im pretty sure im 6'2.5 and i know alot of people add an inch or so to their height but i think dara may drop an inch, i think hes 6'5. Having said that i was wearing converse allstars and as i remember he was wearing dress shoes with a slight heel so i may be wrong.

I think judging the pic above Dara could be even taller than 6'4. He appears to be bending down abit and is already a good 1.5 inches taller than the 6'2.5 guy. Perhaps 6'4.5 - 6'5?

I saw this guy on Jonathon Ross last night and Dara did say he was 6'4 and next to jonathon ross who is supposed to be about 6'2 he looked a good 2-3 inches taller than him

When I saw him on Jack Dee Live at the Apollo I really thought he was about 5'10" (Jack Dee is tiny though). But at the comedy awards he looked a good 2-4 inches taller than Jonathan Ross, so I'd say 6'4" - 6'5". In that photo though, he looks as if he's leaning in quite a lot.
