I realized I was a character actor. I've always been conscious of the fact that actors who are
a little bit taller than I am - I'm 5'8" - were perceived as more leading-man types.

Short, but such an oddball weird geezer in The Silence of the Lambs!
Some people can be shocking and scary without being tall….
5ft7.

Saw this guy once in an Off-Broadway play ages ago, didn’t seem exceptionally short relative to his costars but definitely not a tall man.

@ a1001 - I thought yours was a very interesting comment. Anthony’s fellow Shakespearian actors must indeed have been very tall.

@Jackie Lee
It's just a figure of speech calm down. He was shorter than the entire cast bar maybe one female actor, and a few of the male actors were a whole head taller than him, the person I saw the play with totally agreed.

@al001
Do you even know what a midget looks like or are you just that ignorant?

i quite literally just saw him perform King Lear over the past weekend and I would never have thought he was this tall haha. on stage he looked like a genuine midget, like 5'0 or something, the rest of the cast members must've been much taller than i'd thought!

Great to see Anthony Heald with a page. 😄👌🏼
Having seen the film ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ umpteen times, and that includes recently, I always find Anthony’s character, as Hannibal Lecter’s jailer, rather creepy, especially the way he leers at Jodie Foster. Next to her, he doesn’t look short, but his 5ft7 makes sense as he looks like a guy of low average height.
Welcome Anthony! 🐑🤫🐑
