Was in California years ago when his wife was near Venice beach he arrived in basically vans type trainers. He’s short. I always had him at 5-10 type guy. He looks 5-6 or 5-7 max. He’s pretty stocky also.

@Danimal maybe he meant 6’8? If you were 5’8 your shoulder would be 4’9 max, but 5’7 is around the shoulder level of 6’8

He's one of those people who look average but are surprisingly short. His long face makes him seem like a taller person. I'd say he's 5'4". He was with David Bowie in a dual tour in '95, and Bowie towered over him, even with his chunky boots. Bowie was only about 5'9"-5'10", but he seemed like a giant on stage with Trent. So I'm guessing Trent is only 5'4". Doesn't matter, though, because he did well for himself and was a fabulous rock star.

So, yeah, maybe not a full 5'7", but 5'5"? Unless Keaton is barefoot and Trent is in some huge boots, I seriously doubt he's that low. I agree that 5'7" is probably too much, though, even with hit neck stoop.

I had seen Trent and his wife at MGM casino in Detroit having dinner the night before his show. Yes its true Trent is teeny tiny 5'5 at best. He had flat bottom tennis shoes and he was little. I'm 6'0 and my girlfriend is 5'8 and we both towered over him. We still love you Trent!!!

I saw nine inch nails at the novarock musicfestival 2 days ago and he really did not make such a short impression. I know its impossible to judge height at a concert but being 5'7'' myself i can say that he just did not look that short.

The old line-up were taller - the new crew however, is not. I also met Jeordie White (aka Twiggy) and Aaron North from this line up in Melbourne last year. Twiggy suprised me, he was my height at 5'8" and Aaron was 5'6".

Promotional pictures of Nine Inch Nails show Reznor as tall as the other four. They must make him stand on an apple box, even in those big Doc Martins, and the bulky muscles seem to make him shorter. Seems like he's ashamed of his dwindling height.

Albeit, he's alot of prowess and power in a small package.

I think in general in the 90's mens shoes were bulkier than nowadays, but I've seen a friend of mine looking 3 inches taller than me in reality he is the same height. He was wearing bulky shoes and I was wearing flipflops. Actually same explanation goes for Jay Cutler massive boots...

I just met him! I did a Glenn and waited outside his hotel after his show in Melbourne tonight. Didn't take my camera as it wasn't planned, but I'll try again tomorrow night. Anyway I thought he'd be 5'6"ish based on everything I had heard, but in the flesh and in casual sneakers he looked at minimum 5'7". He was barely smaller than me at 5'7 3/4". He might even be around 171cm.

Anonymous, yeah I agree with you that for the younger generation anything less than 5’10” to be considered short, there will be people that will debate this and refer to statistics but we are talking about the generation of people who are currently 18-30.

Dude even though you are shorter than most guys your age you shouldn’t worry too much about it. It’s more important that you look after your body, keep yourself well groomed and dress in clothing that makes you look like the man. Get yourself some nice shirts and a good sports jacket, you’ll get helps more compliments and women flirting with you when you look the part.

I am a 5'7.70" guy. My brother in-law is 5'9.5". I know these heights because I took them very precisely (barefoot against a straight level wall with a perfectly flat and level object over the head) Even though I know I am short my brother in law looks so short in stores or any where we go, he just looks like such a small guy (but in reality 5'9.5" is a normal average height. You know what that means....I am even shorter and smaller looking. But people tend to think they are taller than others or taller than they really are as an internal security mechanism. Dude, 5'7.5 -5'8" is short for any man. 5'8" looks short on the whole compared to any one who is exactly 5'10" and up. Its almost as if almost all young guys are always either a WEE bit taller than me, say 5'9" or they out tower me. I'd rather be beside a much taller guy than to be shorter by an inch or two. I think Trent could possibly be 5'10".
I mean look at how long Trent's arms are compared to Glenn's, Trent's hands are no where visible, yet Glenn's is. So if Trent is shorter than this pic, that means that his arms would be even longer. But how often do we see a 5'6-5'7" person with very long arms: not quite. Therefor my point is we have no proof what footwear he is wearing, and judging by this pic Trent could very well be close to 5'10"

Fianlly Glenn has submitted a pic which holds some credibility. For once I have seen a pic that looks realistic. Both are in proportionate. However if Glenn is 5'8" That means Reznor is 5'9-5'9.5" Look at Reznor's shoulder. If he could recall both his and Trent's footwear, it would help.

It's strange anytime I've ever seen his height listed it is at 5'6", but he has always looked taller than that. I saw him perform midway through last year and he didn't look shorter than 5'7 1/2" up on stage. He does wear army boots though! Have a look at some pics of him next to Bowie.
