Tony stands up straight, and has as good a posture today as he had some two decades ago.
Of COURSE his agency try to pass their actor off as taller. It's so commonplace, but pleasantly unusual for that celebrity to burst out with his true, shorter height, as Tony has.
I used to think, many moons ago, that an inch doesn't notice much, if at all, but I found out to the contrary in my mid twenties - by observing the reflection of a guy some inch to an inch-and-a-half taller than me.
Yes, it flaming well noticed!

Tony has recently started his role in the Classic version of Emmerdale. He's young and brown-haired, but seems much the same height.

I always thought Tony was about my height and my Mum agreed, he may have lost a bit since his claim but not much! Who knows, he may have been Rob’s height when he made his claim but on the other hand he might not have been.

Editor RobShe listed herself 5ft 4 in that Spotlight casting directory, but of course doesn't look quite that tall. She will have shrunk I think at least an inch by her late 60's.

I think it might do to me, Rob, but I have been chewing it over, and Tony does act with a great many below-average heighted women, not to mention children. I think that might account for that faux pas on my part. I'd have thought he was half or even three-quarters of an inch taller.

@ Mohammed - Thinking about it, and. especially from my perspective, (I'm 152cm), five foot eight can come over as quite tall!

Editor RobI should add Tony's agency put him above his claim at 5ft 9, which never looked possible to me.
