What wonโt this guy do for his profession? In one of his films, he sat in his van and jerked off! I couldnโt believe my eyes! ๐๐น๐
He doesnโt play very glamorous roles, but one film I do recommend is โPossumโ. Itโs highly emotional and it makes a change to see Sean playing a vulnerable character.
5ft10.5.

When I arrived at the hospital last Wednesday night, there was a man there who was a dead ringer for Mr Sean Harris, only he wasnโt so big and threatening. I still nearly screamed though!
There was also a doppelgรคnger for a guy I knew who had passed on, but this one was smaller and positively skinny, but his facial features were identicalโฆ..
Sean gets 5ft10.5.

I watched 'See No Evil' last night to have a good look at the new-to-Celebheights actor, George Costigan.
Instead of coming to any conclusions about George's height, I felt that Sean looked quite a bit taller than 5ft10, possibly three-quarters to even a whole inch over 5ft10.
Now that I'm on his page, I'm gasping at the fact that Sean's average is LOWER than 5ft10. The actor's build - and he certainly works out - is muscly, and 'arranged' ๐ in such a way that it appears to bring his height right up. I've known guys who have worked out, but ended up kind of 'dumpy looking', if you get my meaning, making them seem shorter. Perhaps it's just the luck of the draw; some fellows' heights can benefit from being muscle-bound, whereas others can look that bit shorter.
I don't think that should put anyone off working out to achieve a fit body. I reckon looking healthy trumps looking tall.
5ft10.5 today for Sean. ๐ช๐ค
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 15/Feb/20
I've just seen Sean give a truly outstanding performance in the movie 'Deliver Us From Evil', which was shown tonight on the Horror Channel.
He plays a possessed man, and acts alongside Eric Bana, a detective, and Edgar Ramirez, who plays a man of the Cloth. The ending scene has to be seen to be believed, as the possessed Harris hisses, speaks in Latin and bites chunks out of his already badly mutilated body. Edgar Ramirez succeeds with the exorcism, and then you see Harris transformed into a vulnerable, weeping, confused victim of an evil spirit's grasp. What a contrast!
Just a couple of days back, I read a review of one of Sean's films, written by a member of the public. He described Sean Harris as an often underrated actor, and I couldn't agree more. From disturbing films such as the aforementioned 'Deliver Us From Evil', another horror called 'Creep' and the emotionless characters he plays in 'Harry Brown' and 'See No Evil', in
which he plays Ian Brady, to the sensitively told story 'Possum', about an abused young man, Sean is unbeatable at what he does. It's high time this man wins an Oscar, and I don't say that without having given the matter a good deal of thought.
I often find that Sean comes over as taller than 5ft10. Tonight's film didn't offer as many opportunities to compare his height as is often the case, but the ones you do get make you wonder if he's nearer the 6ft mark than the 5ft10 he's often written up to be. I reckon he spends much of his day measuring in at 5ft11, so tonight I'm going to plump for 5ft10.75. Then I will stroll next door and root around for another of his films!

I couldn't help but notice that the drug addled character Sean played in 'Harry Brown' was scarred up all over his body, probably from self-harming.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 22/Jan/20
I can't tell you that, Nik, until I've seen it again, but I have just watched him in 'Harry Brown', and 5ft10.5 looks about right.

@ Nik - After what I saw the other night, THIS MAN IS TALL! (Film: Possom)
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 21/Mar/19
I have just finished 'Possum' and it proved to be one of Sean's best ever films. He plays a man severely haunted by his past, to the degree that he's been unable to move on or even grow up. What is worse is that he is living with his abuser, played by Alun Armstrong, and is continually suffering psychological and physical abuse.
To see Sean play such a vulnerable wreck of a man so well has proved what a capable actor he is. I haven't seen such a heart-rending role pulled off so well since Ralph Fiennes' movie 'Spider'.
The film ends with Alun spanking 'the boy' on his bare bottom, and Sean finally overpowers him and puts an end to his misery; the two live in the same building. Then he symbolically opens a box, where he'd been held prisoner as a child, and lets the boy - himself - free.
Sean comes over in this as positively tall, but that does nothing to protect him from the sick abuse he is suffering at the hands of Armstrong's character. I'd say Sean looks over 6ft in shoes, so I will give him 5ft11.5. Alun Armstrong has an average vote of 5ft10 to Sean's 5ft9.78. This is wrong, wrong, WRONG! I can't see Alun ever having been as tall as Sean, even at his peak.
Possibly Sean Harris's finest performance ever. ๐

My 'Possum' didn't come! ๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐น
It's running late!
Hopefully tomorrow, but I really don't want to fill in Sean's height box until I've seen it! It's bang up-to-date!
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 18/Mar/19
I was wondering only the other day what Sean has been getting up to lately, and I inadvertently found out while on a film exploration exercise on Amazon that he has made a film called 'Possom', which is ironic really because I had a cat called just that, a ginger-and-white long-haired boy, back in the nineties. Needless to say, I pounced on a copy and it should be arriving later today.
When I have seen it, I will decide on which height I think he should have. I went through a stage of checking out and buying Sean's films after feeling guilty for hating him for playing Ian Brady! I actually found him to be an adaptable and very good actor and I asked Rob for him to be given a page. This is it!
Back later guys 'n' girls! ๐๐

Sean looks a fair old size in the film I'm watching now, called 'Creep'! He is made up to look like a deformity, with bones sticking out of his back and very little hair, and he shrieks rather than speaks, but later on in the film you find that he can mimic what people say, as well as having instincts to destroy them. He has superhuman strength and seems to be the result of some weird scientific experiment. ๐จ
I will go for 5ft10.5 this time. He looks above average height in this for sure.

While hunting around on the internet for the most reasonably priced copy of a drama starring Sean called 'Saxon', I was delighted to read one of the write-ups from somebody, saying how this particular film got him interested in this 'fascinating actor' and he/she'd been following his career ever since!
'Saxon' has brilliant reviews and I've ordered a copy, even though it is more than I'd normally pay for a DVD! It was just too tempting!
It was good to read that there are other people out there who rate him as highly as I do!
Sandy Cowell said on 2/Jun/17
@ Arch Stanton - Yes, Arch! A BBC production was made and is available to buy.
I have my copy right here. It stars Sean Harris, Jessica Brown Findlay, Matthew McNulty, Joanne Whalley and an actress whose performances have recently caught my eye, Shirley Henderson!
I have only seen the opening one of the 3 episodes, but I'm definitely going to see the others very soon.
It has 2014 written on it, so unless I find out the that is the date of the design on the cover, I'm assuming that it was made then!
Yes, I saw online that a version had been made ages ago, which is hardly surprising with a Daphne du Maurier story!
I've only read good write-ups for this actually, and I hope I agree with them! I've so far only ever enjoyed du Maurier's dark and Gothic work!
Cheers!

Well this is further evidence that Sean Harris can undertake any acting role of his choice! It is clear that he is able to display a wide range of emotions, hence the reason he can play the part of someone good as well as a baddie! Fascinatingly, Shirley Henderson, Paddy Considine, Peter Kay, and Ralf Little, also starred in the film '24 Hour Party People". I am off to see if they have all got pages when I have finished this message!
How short do you reckon John Thompson is then? Oh and has he got a page? I will go and have a gander!
This is one of the films that Sean Harris is most famous for so its good that you have given this a mention!
Cheers!
Sandy Cowell said on 22/May/17
@ Nik and everyone who appreciates good acting: I saw him yesterday afternoon playing a rocker! He was fantastic! He outdid everyone else! The film is '24 Hour Party People', and it's absolutely strewn with stars! (I didn't realise John Thomson was that short! He's just one of them!)
Nik said on 19/May/17
@ Sandy Cowell - Hi!
It's good that Sean Harris doesn't just play the role of baddies and the fact that this is the case will be a positive thing for him, I am sure he wouldn't want to think that he could only play those sorts of characterrs, but as we know what that is simply not the case because he is a good all round actor! Like you said the film "Isolation" is the perfect evidence that he can play any acting role of his choice, and very well too!
I will tell you the person who invented the name "Inglourious Basterds" really ought to learn how to spell! The name of this film is certainly way different to the name of the film "Serena", which is a nice and tranquil sort of name! I think that Serena is a nice word and name!
One great thing I have found out about Sean Harris is that his role in "Southcliffe" won him the honour of being the best actor in the British Academy Television Awards in 2014! Well done to him for that!
Also he will be a puppeteer/ventriloquist in the 2017 film Possum, I don't know if you would be interested in seeing this film?
It will be interesting to be able to vote on Sean's height again in a few weeks, I will go north of 5'10' again but will I give him an upgrade? We will see when the time comes!
Finally I can tell you that my Mum and I will be looking after Jasmin today, and that she will be staying with us tonight!
Cheers Sandy!
Sandy Cowell said on 18/May/17
@ Nik - Hi! I watched Sean's film last night called 'Isolation' and it was truly like a breath of fresh air to see the human side of him! I was so impressed as you see him put his arm tenderly round his girlfriend, and when they get disturbed at an unearthly hour by a desperate farmer worrying about a calving cow, he goes along to help, despite being warned earlier to leave the land. He lives in a caravan and is a traveller.
The film is a horror, but it's beastie-based, showing what can happen when Man fiddles too much with nature! My heart went out to him when he sheds tears and shows genuine fear. This film shows that Sean can play any role he chooses, very well at that! ๐
The film containing Michael Fassbender is ready to buy on the 3rd July and it is called, 'Trespass Against Us'. It's a 2016 film and I'm looking forward to it - of course! I'm fond of Michael Fassbender as well, ever since I saw him in 'Inglourious Basterds'! (funny spelling, I know!). The two actors together should make for compelling viewing!
I'm so glad your Mum enjoyed her Birthday! I am also fond of carrot cake and it does seem like a healthier alternative, but then birthdays are only once a year!
Cheers Nik! ๐๐

Hi Sandy!
Yes it's good to hear that so many people in the film industry speak so highly of Sean Harris, this shows that he is a good person as well as being a good actor! He plays the role of so many unhinged loonies because he must be good at it! However it is great that he looks to be flexible and that he is keen to play the part of people who are totally different to this, because it will prove that he is a good all round actor, plus he will enjoy playing the part of a good guy too! Playing the part of a Policeman in the second "Red Riding Trilogy" film is a fine example of him playing a good guy, it is a welcome change from playing the role of a scoundrel! In fact playing the part of a Policeman would suit Sean Harris in my opinion, it wouldn't be a bad idea if he did this more often!
You will have so many opportunities to take in Sean Harris's height and good acting skills by the time you have finished seeing all of the films that he is in, so happy viewing!
If you type in "Fassbender Cotillard Harris" (no speech marks) in the google box, then click on images and find the 17th image (from left to right and down) you will see the picture of just 3 people, Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, and Sean Harris! Sean Harris looks very tall, in fact over 6ft compared to these two celebrities when you bear in mind how tall they are! You won't regret it!
My Mum had a good birthday thank you and she appreciates your birthday wishes! We had a quiet day at home, it was raining cats and dogs! We had some carrot cake too at tea time!
Cheers mate!

@ Nik - Hi Nik!
I can happily eat my words tonight about Sean Harris always playing someone psychotic! You see, I knew I had once caught on TV part of a film, in which everyone was speaking in Irish accents, which showed the NICE side of the man! I found it yesterday online and it arrived today!
It is called 'Isolation', and just before the start of 'Emmerdale', I put it in my TV and watched the trailer. I thought, "That's definitely the one!"
Then I went on to see the extras, where I saw the makers of the whole project speak very highly of Sean's acting, saying that he is known for playing the roles of unhinged people, but they obviously saw in him something different, not to mention Sean himself wanted a break from that type of role - and who can blame him?
The same is true in the film 'Serena'. The makers of that film saw the good in him! Hooray for that, and double hooray that so many people in the know agree that there is something special about this actor!
The Fassbender/Harris film will be available to buy as from the 3rd of July! Yes, Nik, I am aware of its existence and looking forward to it, but my oh my, have I got a great many things to see of his until that day dawns, or what?
Sean plays alongside Paddy Considine, another supremely brilliant actor and writer, in the second 'Red Riding Trilogy' film, which just so happens to be about the Yorkshire Ripper, and the persistence of one particular policeman to catch the b*****d! Sean and Paddy are members of the police force in this!
That just about covers what I have found out about Sean since last time and more besides!
Cheers Nik and enjoy this very special family day - your Mum's Birthday!

Rob will be in your good books then, won't he? You must be excited about seeing your copy of the TV Drama series "Southcliffe", the fact that you haven't seen a single episode will be even more of a good reason to look forward to it coming!
Yes it is great when someone achieves something in life by working their socks off for it, plus he is living his dream of being an actor so he is doing his job for the love of it!
Now onto his height, I have seen a lot of quotes on the internet of around 6'0" for Sean Harris, although I have seen a few 5'10" quotes as well! No you shouldn't regret putting 5'11.5" for him, like you said if he was 5'10" he shouldn't be bending down to speak to someone who is only one inch smaller!
I have also seen pictures of him with Colm Feore, who is 5'11.5", and they look about the same height. Furthermore I have seen that he is taller in comparison to Sheridan Smith than what a 5'10" man would be!
Cheers Sandy!
Sandy Cowell said on 15/May/17
@ Nik - Yes, indeed it is a compliment! I must say that I was - and still am - very excited that Rob added Sean Harris to celebheights!
This morning I ordered a copy of the TV Drama series 'Southcliffe', which is on par with the 'Red Riding Trilogy'; I haven't seen one solitary episode, but it has excellent write-ups!
It certainly is good to see someone who worked so hard for something he wanted very badly, succeeding, as with this guy!
I watched 'See No Evil' again with my brother yesterday, and I had a great opportunity to compare him to the other male actor who stars in it - 5ft9 Matthew (also known as Michael)
McNulty. They went into the back yard together for a pee and a chat, as you do (!), and Sean was actually looking down in order to speak to McNulty! I didn't notice that the last time! There were other instances as well, so I don't regret putting 5ft11.25, with a quarter inch bonus for making me laugh in 'the Goob', because I don't think you look down to speak to someone who is a mere inch smaller than you! Cheers Nik! ๐

Sandy Cowell said on 13/May/17
Right! I'm back now and itching to let rip....
Firstly, I think Sean looks tall in this picture! Not 'almost tall', but 'tall', as in over 5ft11.
I saw him in 'The Goob' the other evening, playing a rather unsavoury character as usual! His hair had blond highlights this time, which means I've seen him play dark-haired, blond-haired and red-haired, which seems to be his natural colour, judging from his beard and his delightful performances in 'The Red Riding Trilogy', where he was unmistakably ginger with the occasional beard, but for 'the Goob', he was all muscle with tattoos to boot - quite impressive, when I think of the unfortunate specimen he played in 'Creep'! Looking at this far from unflattering picture, I would say 5ft11.25, but as he made me split my sides the other night by shamelessly going into his van in broad daylight for a ***k, he can have a quarter of an inch extra!
5ft11.5 it is then!
