@Celebheights 6’1.5: my guess is Reynolds is somewhere around 186.5-187 or up to 187. Prob right under 6’2”. He looked a touch shorter than Favre and often times pulls off 6’2”. I bet his claim on letterman was correct albeit prob a bit over 6’1.5” and closer to 6’2”. Maybe either 6’1.75 or 6’1 5/8 at a low? I agree on Affleck and Fisher being taller. Affleck I suspected was under 6’2 for a while but not now seeing him with Caron Butler. Butler looks spot on his pre draft and Affleck looks at least 6’2 next to him. Maybe he was a hair over in prime and pushing 6’2.5” then?

Nathan Fillion stands taller than 6’1”, as Fillion’s eye level clears the top of Rob’s head. Reynolds is indubitably taller than Fillion in practically every photo. The difference between the two height-wise seems more significant than it is compared to people like Ray Fisher and Ben Affleck, even.

With that being said, the photo of him looking a few inches shorter than Eli Manning is intriguing. Reynolds barely looks over 6’1” next to him. Does one of these pieces of evidence cancel out the other? It’s a mystery.

I really don't see Reynolds dropping under 6'2 at low tbh. I can understand maybe 6'1 3/4 at a low, but 6'1 1/2 any time of day I really can't see. He's just too tall beside guys like Nathan Fillion and current Hugh Jackman to be that low.

I was at the movie premiere green lantern june 2011. Mark Strong (6ft 1in on this site) was taller, cleary than Ryan Reynolds, about 1.5 inch. I made photos back then, but i don`t find them.
Ryan is probably barfoot not more than 6ft 0.5in, but Mark Strong is 6ft 2in.
Mark is one of my favourite actors, and also Ryan. Here is another photo of them together from another date. Mark is here nearer the camera, but i saw them and the difference was 1.5 inch.

Dont see him going under 6'2" at all. I would bet money on him being 6" taller than Rob if he was ever to meet him. He is noticeablly taller than Nathan who Rob met, he is taller than Hugh Jackman who would be similar to Nathan . All evidence I have seen points to 6'2-6'2.25".

When he did that film with the Rock , Dwayne was in thick footwear and standing rod straight the whole time. I think if you measured them Dwayne would be very similar at most 1 cm taller.

Factoring in that Nathan Fillion has 1/4” of an inch more footwear standing next to Rob, it’s safe to say Rob comes up to the lower part of Nathan’s eyes. Ryan Reynolds would probably have about 6” inches on Rob, considering this if we use the photo as a reference. Of course, there could be one or two inconsistencies with that method.

While the photos of Ryan Reynolds standing next to Will Ferrell and Eli Manning are definitely interesting, it’s difficult to argue against that he’s at least 1/2” of an inch taller than Nathan Fillion. Do both of these pieces of evidence which counter each other cancel each other out? It’s difficult to say. Nevertheless, I’ll go with 6’2”.

It’s possible, I guess. To me, the photos with Nathan Fillion at least eliminates any possibility that’s below 6’1 1/2” since there’s no way that Ryan is shorter, unless there’s something the photo up above isn’t telling us. Nathan Fillion also appeared similar next to Tom Hiddleston, which is another reason why I don’t see Nathan as being below 6’1 1/2”:

Fair enough. I respect what you are saying and yes in ‘that photo’ with Eli he does look shorter. But I posted a photo where he looks taller than Ferrell who people list at 6’2.5 (there a photos where he does looks shorter or the same as Ferrell). Having said that he always looks consistently taller than Fillon in photos like above who is 6’1.5 so I’m betting he’s a strong 6’2 for a measurement when standing tall which he rarely does.

Sometimes they base the listing off of assumptions prematurely before they get famous, often using agency listings as the reference. I’m not convinced that he’s 6’1” flat, because he was taller Chris Klein in Just Friends. Reynolds is also no shorter than Fillion, who appears 6’1 1/2” next to Rob. With that being said, recent photos definitely prove that he could be 187 centimeters tall.

Favre measured 6’2 flat at the combine so effectively that’s what he should be listed here and not 6’2 1/8” being a lot of athletes get their combine measurements that are an hour or so out of bed when they are close to if not a full Half inch shorter than that later on. Favre is taller than Reynolds. Reynolds is also about 2” taller than Denzel Washington who Rob lists at 5’11.75” now. Add the Eli Manning comparison and that’s more evidence that he’s overlisted. Eli is not 6’4.75”. He’s shorter than Ben Roethlisberger. Best case here he should be 6’4.5 and 6’4 3/8 is probably his low for the day. Now I even disagreed with viper to an extent and said 6’1.75 was a better listing but seeing all of these comparisons, that’s a best case for Reynolds now. How tall is Will Ferrell today? I don’t think he’s already lost 1/2” of an inch of height like his page on this website suggests, but I also don’t completely disagree with his current 6’2 1/2” listing. Could he have been 6’2 3/4” in his peak, rounding up to 6’3”?

I watched the movie that they both starred in, and the height difference between them was surprisingly less significant than how it appears in the photo I linked. While Will seemed taller in most scenes, there were a few where they appeared to be identical. I still think Will edges him out.

solid 6'2. I am surprised that he's onyl listed at 6'2 flat here while he can look in the solid 6'2 range. 190 cm out of bed is likely so I think that he's around 6'2 1/4 to 6'2 1/2 most of the day. He's an inch taller than Nathan Fillion.

It’s possible that Hugh Jackman was always a little shy of 6’2”, Samuel L. Jackson maybe was a stronger 6’2” but is much older and both have shrunk. I think Reynolds is likely a solid strong 6’2” not necessarily over it though by afternoon.

I feel Connery has the highest odds to look a weakish 6’2” (noticeably a couple inches under near Donald Sutherland). I would say Reynolds would be next, Cusack could look a strong 6’2” while standing tall younger (and held up ok near Tim Robbins), but not as consistently tall as Adam Driver (held up well near Pablo Schreiber and Liam Neeson).

He has pretty much exactly the same build, head length and posture as me and having stood next to many guys in the range of those he's frequently photographed with, I get the overwhelming impression that he would be looking me straight at eye level if we ever met, and I'm about 6'1.75" and if I do stretches routinely I can hit 6'2" in the morning. So I'd have Ryan at 6'1.5 to 6'1.75", and with shoes, 6'2.25 to 6'2.5". Looks spot on from my experience being the same height/build.

Your reasons and analogy are considered and logical but I don’t think the Rock is really any taller than Reynolds and if he is it’s marginal. Rock standing extremely straight with forced posture against Reynolds with relaxed posture-convinced me of this ( granted Reynolds did have a slight footwear advantage as punted out by Rising 1974) in the premier. Rob had Cudmore at 6’7 initially even after meeting him and reduced it to 6’6.5” after Cudmore stated his true height. He also had Joe Mangianello at 6’5” after meeting him and now has him at 6’4.75”. The reason I could see Reynolds under 6’2, in addition to his 6’1/6’2 claim is because he also looked slightly shorter than Brett Favre (an aged Favre as well) who measured 6’2 flat in his prime at the combine. I can accept Rob’s listing for Favre as a lunchtime measurement however as he doesn’t look under 6’2” meaning that’s probably his afternoon. The pic with Fillion should definitely rule out anything like 6'1.5 for Reynolds. Maybe a chance of 6'1.75, if you assume that Fillion dips to 6'1.25 (which I guess isn't impossible), but absolutely no less than that.
That being said, I'd still say he looks a decent 6'2 when he stands tall (to the point that I could certainly see 6'2+ estimates).

Out of the 3 photos above, he only looks at least 6'2" with Fillion. He looks closer to 6'1.5" with Taylor Kitsch and Denzel Washington. He can sometimes look 6'2" and change, but has looked the 6'1"-6'2" range he claimed plenty of times as well. Favre is clearly more of a solid 6'2" than Reynolds and he only measured 1/8" over, iirc. It's also possible that Reynolds is 6'1.75" and Fillion is 6'1.25". Rob have nathan at almost 187 but there is a posibility that he could be 186,4 and if he is that then ryan is 188,5 ish at worst. How is that even possible Viper? Pic with Nathan Fillion disproves that. Rob has a pic verifying him at 6'1.5", Reynolds is noticeably taller. He looks a legit 6'2" there.

I was really starting to believe that Reynolds was 6'3 according to his recent claims, but after seeing him with The Rock in Red Notice, that's definitely not the case. The Rock really brought him back down for me.

Looks nothing more than 6'2 range with him, as he's always been I suppose.

So my guess will be 6'2" or 188 cm which sounds accurate for Reynolds' height.

There's some pretty bad Hollywood party photos of Affleck and Reynolds together and there didn't seem to be anything between them but that doesn't mean much due to the quality of the shots for comparison. I have thought Reynolds could seem shorter at times (such as some weird photos with Mark Strong) but Reynolds can seem a pretty solid 6'2" a lot of the time.
