Relevant comparison... I met John Deacon in person in the mid 90s. He had normal shoes on and was definately at least as tall as me and I'm 5'11 1/4. Therefore I'd say Roger was definately telling the truth when he wrote in some magazine questionnaire in the 80s he was 5'10 and half. Definately Deacon was easily 5 11 no question so as Roger only fraction shorter figure at peak def what he himself said.

@Rob
Was he listed at 5'10 not long ago?
I think 5'9.5 makes sense as he wasn't much taller than Freddie
Can you add John Deacon please?
This way all Queen members are here?
I think Deacon looked same as Freddie maybe 5'9. Was def not 5'11

Been on these marks for ages.

@ Sue Duris - I’ve read your comment from 22nd July, 2019. “To fudge his height a bit as an adult….” really cheered me up, so THANK YOU!
I’d seriously consider fudging around with my height, but I don’t think anyone would believe me! 😉

Another of Roger’s songs is ‘Drowse’ from the Queen album ‘A Day At The Races’.
ALL four members of Queen were songwriters, each brilliant in his own inimitable style.

Listening to Roger’s Queen II song ‘Loser In The End’, the English is perfect. What a brilliant soprano voice this guy has, as can be heard in the following tracks.
5ft9.5 peak; 5ft8.5 today.

Hey, I missed Roger's Birthday, and Brian's for that matter.
Belated 72nd Birthday Wishes, Roger!

I remember reading in my teen mags in the 70s that Roger had a keen eye for the ladies, especially Brigitte Bardot. When asked what he'd like to find in his Christmas Cracker, he said "Brigitte Bardot of course!"
He certainly lived up to his name, as did Roger Daltrey!
5ft9.5 peak; 5ft8.5.

🎂🎁🎶🥁 Happy Birthday Roger 🥁🎶🎁🎂
A Very Happy 71st Birthday to the drummer, songwriter and soprano vocalist with one of the best and most original bands ever - Queen 👑. Roger will have been in his early twenties when the band started out in the early 70s. Doesn't time just fly by?
Have a great Birthday, Roger! XXX 😄👌
Peak height 5ft9.75
Today - 5ft8.75

I have to chuckle a bit because at one time Roger listed himself at 179 cm. I think 178 (5'10") was even pushing it. But I don't blame him - he was one of the shortest kids in his class - so to fudge on the height a bit as an adult I totally get that. Roger is just so beautiful inside and out.

I have just seen a picture of Roger, Brian May and Paul Rodgers. It really messed with my head! I thought Paul Rodgers was taller!
I go for 5ft10.25 for Roger's peak and 5ft9.25 nowadays. The trouble with drummers is that they're always sitting down! 🥁😁👍
Roger has an excellent singing voice and sang lead on a few tracks of theirs.

Oh my! Doesn't Roger's soprano singing voice complement Freddie's slightly deeper tones? What a marvellous combination!
@ John Leno - If that was aimed at me, then thank you! The first Queen song was 'Keep Yourself Alive' from 1973 and I remember that too. It was written by Brian May.

He wasn't on here, though there are many I think similar to him who may still be given a page. It's never too late...

I think Roger was 175 peak, overlisted in my opinion but okay. Nowadays it doesn’t look like he’s shrunk much but he might have a little boost in his shoes.

Roger has been part of my musical life since I was 13 and I became instantly hooked on 'Killer Queen'. I acquired all their albums up to and including 'Jazz', but when 'Innuendo' came out, I squealed "They're back to their best again!" bought it, and promptly had it stolen! 😝
Come the year 2005, I was staying round my Dad's and realised that absolutely everything they ever did was BRILLIANT! He had all their 'best of' music that I hadn't bothered to buy, but I love it now!
Queen were such a knock-out of a band. Their videos were unfailingly different each time, often side-splittingly funny, but always original. Roger himself was the 'heart-throb' type, who always seemed to get the model girlfriends. He was training to be a dentist, but he 'hated it', and that's a quotation from one of my teenage magazines! I wouldn't like to gape into people's mouths for a living either, excellent and necessary job that it is!
Yes, at the time 'Bohemian Rhapsody' came out, during the Christmas of 1975, our own headmaster talked about Queen one morning in our Assembly. He took his hat off to each and every member, all having studied at other professions, but, fortunately for us, turning their backs on their careers, forming the group Queen and knocking us sideways! Already a staunch Queen fan, I couldn't think of a better band for a headmaster to discuss with his kids as an inspirational influence.
All of the four members wrote fantastic songs in their own right and they all stood out as taller than they actually were because they were lean as whippets! For Roger to have been 133 pounds at 5ft10 is extremely underweight, Brian, Freddie and John, the 'quiet one' and bass guitarist, were equally thin. Personally, I thought Freddie was nearly 6ft and Brian 6ft4, the second statistic being one that I actually read. Being the drummer - with a terrific soprano voice - Roger sat down much of the time, but in their videos, you could take in that he was 'tall average' height, probably around 5ft9.5/10. I haven't seen him pictured very often lately, but there is a picture right here, denoting that he isn't THAT much smaller than Brian, who must today be around the 6ft+ mark.
I agree with 5ft8.5 for Roger nowadays and Brian, still a keen astronomer, I'd say is 6ft1 or just under. For Roger's peak, he gets 5ft9.75.
Thanks, Rob, for giving Roger a page!

From all I've seen, I'd have said Roger might have measured taller than Freddie. He typically seemed around 4 inches or so shorter than May, well as much as you can tell because May has always had a tremendous amount of hair.
