He gets my full respect and appreciation for this wonderful act of kindness. He’s changed the lives of these people and all those that were looking on, helpless, as their loved ones suffered.

He's held up very well, like McCartney and Jagger.
I'd list him as 5' 10.25" (178.4 cm) - peak, and 5' 9.5" (176.5 cm) currently.
5' 10.25" with a 1.25-1.5" heel at times, would've given off a 5' 10.5-10.75" impression, which he could certainly pull off in the past.

After watching some pics with 6'1" Penny Lancaster, both wearing regular shoes/ flats, Rod is nowhere near 5'10". There always seems to be a 4 inch gap at least between them. 5'9" if hes lucky, but i even doubt that to be honest, guess 5'8" may be closer to the truth...

I've seen pictures of Rod Stewart with Mick Jagger and Keith Richard's in the 70s, and Rod is the same height as Mick and way taller than Keith. Yep, the media is extremely powerful. +5 years ago Rod was actually being listed at 5'5 on many sites.He was so annoyed he actually went on Parkinson with a Newspaper article to refute the claims haha. Similar to Cruise, the media would have you believe he's 5'3.

As I said, he can pull off looking 5' 11" but that's when he wears his distinctive heeled footwear - or when Penny stoops slightly. He may actually wear them just because he likes that type of shoe and they suit him - as opposed for height gain.

There are too many flat 5' 9"ers who he just scrapes by 1 cm like Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, Prince Charles etc... Some of whom may also have been taller in the past.

I have stood beside Rod Stewart, when he was visiting Sydney Australia. I am 170cms tall, he was wearing flat shoes and would be around 179 (5'11"). I had always thought he was short, and was surprised when the friend I was with, signalled for me to look at the person next to me and I looked into his neck and was taken aback. He was also a much bigger build than I thought and had amazing skin. He was with Rachel Hunter at the time.

Look at 'RJ 7th June 08' pictures I think he as got it right about Rod's height because I came face to face with Prince Charles when he called in at HMS Ganges near Ipswich when he was Captain of a Naval ship several years ago and he was the same height as me 5'9" and my pal who was with me stands 6'0" and he was taller than Charles.

my boyfriend met rod stewart when he was doing lighting for one of his concerts, he's a little under 6' (with his steel toe caps maybe 6'1") and said he towered over rod when he was talking to him... keifer sutherland was backstage watching him too (and he's supposedly 5'8.5") but according to my boyfriend noticably taller than rod. in his opinion rod would be nearer 5'8", or, like he said, barely taller than me 5'6.5".

Well I met Rod Stewart at his concert in Phoenix. I am exactly 5' 10" if not taller. And I got to get backstage thanks to the Rod Stewart fan club and actually got to meet him! It was great. It's like I'm telling you people, I'd see these famous people and in some cases I'd be taller and I'm just 5'11" and don't wear shoes with heels any higher than about an inch. I'd read somehwere that so and so is 6' and then I'd see him at some event or at the studio and wouldn't you know it, he'd be shorter than me. That's not to say there's not a lot of tall actors emerging today. There are. Most are now well over 6'. This is especially true with actors who work in TV.

Just saw the queens jubilee from 2002. At the end, all stars sang "All you need is love" on stage and were standing right beside each other. Rod was at least an inch taller than Ozzy Osbourne (5'9.5) and Paul McCartney (5'9.5).

Rod was in town a couple of weeks ago on tour. I work event security at the Arena the concert was in. I have the privelige of working with the stars head of security, so i get to work very closely with the stars. I was surprised at how tall Rod was. He is 6ft and maybe even 6'1 He had no heel to speak of on his shoe.

A friend of mine saw Rod Stewart today here in Stockolm. He works as a watchman in a fancy place and in walked Rod Stewart. He know that if he see a famous person he will stand so close so he can judge their height and then tell me about it:) He said that Mr Stewart was wearing boots, and with his boots he was 5'11''. He was as talI as my friend who is 5'10 and 5'11'' with normal shoes. Because Rod had theese big boots on I´m positive he is no more than 5'9''.
