Rob, I think the best key to determining Brialy’s height is that he was taller than Alain Delon in 1950s, meaning under 5’10” for Brialy then was pretty unlikely.

Benigni could honestly make Claudia Cardinale seem only 5’5” in Son of the Pink Panther. Benigni could even come off as 5’8” at times in that movie strangely but 5’7” or less is probably more like it. Maybe, I will give him 5’6.75”; that would also complement the 170cm claim pretty well.

Benigni could pass for 5’7” in Son of The Pink Panther, he was clearly taller than Claudia Cardinale (even when she wore heels), Burt Kwouk and Graham Stark (all 5’6” range). I’d vote 5’6.5” for Benigni.

Does look 5 ft 6 range in Down by Law, though now impossible he genuinely got measured at 170 earlier in the day.

He says "Non porto tacchi, sono alto un metro e 70 tutto naturale..." which means "I don't wear lifts (he's obviously referring to Berlusconi), i am 1m70 tall all natural"!

Editor Rob ok thanks I will put the mention at the top. So he would marry Berlusconi's wife, but he doesn't wear heels and is naturally 170cm, basically.

Oh, great man I'm italian too, he did very nice and good movies! In some sites he's listed as 1.65 m (5'5), and I think he looks more that height than 5'6.5

I and my friend have seen him this afternoon in Rome (via piramide cestia).
i'm absoluty sure, he's 170cm, but with elevator shoes on.

as an italian and having met him many times too (bear in mind he had shoes on) he looked 5'8 with shoes on and consider his age too, he is no less than 5'5.5 and 5'6 not more.

Wow. I just saw Roberto's last movie "La Tigre e la Neve" and I have a hard time believing he's only 5'5. I would have given him 5'8/9 at the very least, seeing him next to 6'2 Jean Reno and most other actors. But again, I didn't pay attention to his footwear...

Editor Rob I'd forgotten about this guy - one of those I was going to have a proper look at and yes, this is too low for roberto, he's taller! I'll upgrade him...
