American Singer. In a letter published on Salon he mentioned his height, saying "I'm also taller than my wife, but despite being 5' 10" I get pegged as much shorter all the time, perhaps due to a somewhat scrawny physique and alarmingly oversized head".

Met him a few nights ago at his concert in SF. I had a backstage pass and was fortunate to get a photo with him. I’m 5’ 9, he was about an inch and a half taller so I would say somewhere between 5’ 10- 5 ‘11

My gf and I met him a few months ago and he was taller than I thought. 5' 10 I'd say. I'm 5' 11 and he was just slightly shorter than me. But way thinner than me, too.

My brother is good friends with his youngest son (we live in the same town) and I asked him if Richard seemed short, and my brother claims he seems about average male height (keep in mind my brother has seen Richard in his own home, possibly barefoot). I wouldn't doubt 5'8" or maybe a little more. His eldest son is pretty tall, probably around 6'1" or 6'2".

im very big fan of Richard n i can say that richard is 173cm, i am ready to bet he's slightly taller than glenn while leaning do to pavement favoring Richard.
also keep in mind his head is slightly bigger (wider) compared to glenn for example + he's got shorter legs like Tom Cruise, this all coul make a real 5'8 looking 5'7, it's like when a guy wear a suite with wide shoulders it'll make him look at least 2 inches shorter because he now seem wider.
Richard is 173cm, maybe now he's 172cm but just maybe.

Guy's, he's not standing straight and he's not that young anymore either. It's possible he was close to 5'10" and nowadays closer to 5'9".

Strange, I always thought he was taller (i.e. at least 5'10"). Probably (like many) because of his thin build, and that I don't remember seeing him standing by anyone.
