I dug up my old comment that I made on Bret McKenzie's page:
"I have met Rhys Darby a few times and he's a solid 5'10" minimum and thinner than he looks on TV. Maybe because he is small compared to Jemaine and short and stout compared to Brett he gives an illusion of being shorter than he is."
He's around the listed height. I happen to be 5'10 1/2ish myself and I couldn't say for sure which of us was taller.

Good addition, he's a guy with a build that suggests a shorter man. I thought maybe a solid 5'10" with Bret and Jemaine on Conchords, as he looked 2 and 3 inches at times, but he could be closer looking at times. He also looked about 3 inches under Jim Carrey perhaps. He does come off as taller in some stills than he looks on screen, such as promoting a movie with Sam Neill and Taika Waititi.

Editor RobOverall my impression of RHys is somebody in strong 5ft 10 range, and so might measure 179cm.
