English-born US Actor. In O11 did look taller than Martin. Frank2 has mentioned he was eye to eye with lawford...

Peter Lawford was a guest host on the Johnny Carson and Mike Douglas' show several times and a member of the audience asked him how tall he was and I remember him saying he was just under 6'1". That fits because he is taller than most everyone he hung out with and in his movies he was the taller man in most cases.

Lawford typically looked about 4 cm taller than Dean Martin, but how much footwear advantage did Dean have?? Lawford was married four times and had four children. If he ever dabbled with men, he certainly didn't fit the bill of somebody who was gay.

Does anyone know how tall his only son Christopher is.

It was well known about Lawford.

Lawford was 5'11".
I was surprised that Peter Lawford and Richard Boone were homosexuals.

If Lawford was 5'11.5", you have to down grade Jack Kennedy to under 5'11". Lawford had at least an inch or so on him.

Looked 6 ft even next to Martin in O11.

All I know is that if Fred Astaire was 5'10 this guy was 6'1!

See 22 minute range, looks near 3 inches on Astaire

Not really familiar with his earlier work but he does look 5'11-'6 in Royal Wedding.

He looked slightly taller than both Martin & Lewis (who both claimed to be 6'0")when I saw him standing next to them, so I'd go with 6'1".

Peter was at least three inches shorter than 6'2" Cesar Romero in the original Ocean's Eleven. When I saw Lawford in person back in the latter part of the 1960's he was my height or 5'11".

I believe that I usually saw him as listed at 6-1. He always seemed a little taller than Dean Martin. But of course....all celebrity height is relative!

Well, technically Peter was born in England, but immigrated to the US where he eventually became an American citizen. His career was here so claiming he was an American actor isn't that far off base. After all, just about everyone in the States immigrated here or are the offspring of immigrants or have families going way back that came here from Europe as well as other places around the globe. Only the native Americans, Indians to be politically incorrect can be called true Americans.

Heh I hate to do this to you again but he was unmistakingly English. I'd say this height listing is very accurate if it's any consolation though.

you know me, 'US Actor' is defaulted into my mind ;-)
