How much taller did famke jannsen look than him in house on haunted hill? She didn't seem that much taller than him and she had heels on and I doubt she'd be under 6ft 3 in those heels she was wearing. Could he have wore lifts in that film

this height doesn't make sense. in summer lovers he's barefoot the whole movie and is about an inch taller taller than Darryl Hannah. he's not 5'9. he's gotta be 5'10.5 at least?

That's an excellent comment, bukowski. Height often correlates well with body shape. It's a surprise when a thin, long-limbed man like Peter Gallagher turns out to be of only average height, and also when a stout, short-limbed, large-headed man like Orson Welles turns out to be tall.

OK seriously, Chris Kattan is 5'6 (maybe less actually he's an awfully small guy) Gallagher looked maybe about an inch and a half taller than him in House on Haunted Hill so I'd give Gallagher 5'8. Don't see 5'9 though, seems too big for him.

Im 99% sure Mckenzie is 5ft7 cause even with his 2 inch shoes he looks short...so that makes Gallagher exactly 5ft8.Ive seen so many pictures of them that im totally convinsed.

i have been told he isn't the tallest of men...i mean if you look at Ben McKenzie, who stars along with Peter, he only looks no more than 5 7. Peter always looks at him eye to eye (if you watch the o.c.)...my guess: 5 7 or 5 7.5

There is NO way he's 5'9. I'm 5 7 1/2 and walked by him on the street a while ago and was definitely a couple inches taller than him (though I was wearing running shoes that probably added an inch. I'd put him at 5'6". I was surprised because I would have expected 6ft+. Gotta love camera tricks.

I wouldn't say Mischa is 5ft 11.5!!! If Ben Mckenzie is only about 5ft 8, then Misca is about 5ft 8, 5ft 9. Anyway....I would say that Gallagher is about 5ft 9.

gallagher always use dress shoes with 1.25 inch heel in OC, ryan always use big ass boots which probably gives 1.5 inch.

has anyone ever seen the movie summer lovers? in this movie he looks so much taller than 5'9 i honestly thought he was around 6'2...hes taller than darryl hanah so is 5'10 in the flick and hes barefoot. he really seems fall taller than hannah throughout the entire movie and u cant blame it on lifts..hes not wearing shoes throughout most of it

Well he is taller than Ben McKenzie so I am guessing that Ben is 5'8" or a little less. I think that 5'9" is probably right for Peter, but there is one thing that is interesting. There is a scene in the second season of the OC where Peter and MIscha Barton are standing right next to each other.
