It's pretty funny seeing everyone discuss my husband's height he use to be 182cm when we first met but he's shrunk over the years and has lost 2cm. I measured him barefoot no carpet with a aerosol can today to tell you all he is now 180cm and this was around lunchtime. Have a good day everyone.

After look into other roles, in Lair of the White Worm Capaldi looks about a inch taller than Hugh Grant which puts him about 182.5cm in the 1990s, but now Capaldi looks around 181cm mark could this be possible

I met Peter today im 180cm and 181cm in my walking shoes he edged me by about 3cm he had pumps on that only add about 1cm of height so id guess him to be arpund 182-183 range

Like Sandy said below, guess him as 6 footer (He didn't even wear half inch thicker shoes than your or so) at least. Still debatable for a bit... 🤔🤔🤔 may be upper grade his height bit makes sense in his case unlike several other actors who need to be downgraded a bit.... Its possible that Capaldi has better posture than yours if you still guess him as 5ft 11 range.

Agreed, Paul. While the top of his hair looks comfortably in the 6' zone, the thing is that he has a good amount of hair, so, once you take that into account, he really doesn't look over his 5'11.5 claim here.

If I'm judging correctly based on other height charts, he's probably grazing the 6ft mark with the top of his hair. I'm not a hair expert but maybe if he was bald he wouldn't look as tall since it appears a bit fluffed.

Editor RobI'm paying 45 quid for a photo with Tom Welling. It's meant for this site and visitors to it, not to have it uploaded within a few hours to some random forum with 3 adsense ads on the page - the motivation to me looks like using (hotlinking/embedding) other people's content to earn money.

Editor RobI have intended to redo the idea of the height-chart for a while, as people were copying/hotlinking them, and really they were only meant for here.
So I will create transparent overlay so that the chart is separate, the mugshot filesize is smaller and the image quality won't change when showing any chart on top.
Only problem with that approach is I know some older browsers won't show it properly.

To be honest, Justin Chatwin I think is a 5'11 guy. 180-181 cm range possibly (never got the feeling he was over this, at the most 5'11 3/8 but I think 5'11 1/8 is more likely for him at a low). He could look taller but not sure he would measure it.

This seem to be fairly accurate but maybe a bit lower like 180-181cm. Gandolfini looked about 3cm taller than Capaldi in In The Loop with little bit of hunching so if Gandolfini would've stood completely straight the difference probably would've been more like 5cm.

Considering Pearl is 5ft 6 and if you take away the 1 inch that his shoes adds, he most Deffo looks 6 inches taller , so yes I think his height is 6ft and with those docs he looks nearly 6ft 1 nearly Tennants height in the show, And considering Clara reaches the bottom of his ear and with Matt she was on the top of his ear shows that there is a whole inch difference between their heights.

Has anyone noticed Peter Capaldi is wearing a TARDIS blue suit in the above picture? Peter, a life long fan of Doctor Who, was worthy of the role and got to live his dream. No one can love the character better than the ultimate fan who played him. Peter's Doctor was a better suited partner to Alex Kingston's River Song than Matt's. The Doctor v. 12 was a great sparing partner to Missy, too. Peter was surprisingly light on his feet, for a man of his age. I think he's more than a little reluctant to hand over the keys to the TARDIS to the next incumbent, though. It cannot get better than the Doctor's lifelong fan playing him. The Doctor should be a man, who looks like a scientist or professor for the character to be believable. The Doctor should be average height or tall. I will be sad to see Peter leave, but most actors don't stay in the part for longer than three series/seasons. It's a physically demanding role and I think the actors leave out of sheer exhaustion. Good luck, Peter. 🎥🎬

@Editor Rob: Yeah, he hasn't lost anything noteworthy. I'm not for a second buying him under 5'11.5. Look at him next to Conan: Click Here he looks near enough 6 foot there. I'd also point out that he seems to hold good posture, compared to a guy like Smith, who had terrible posture, and could look between 5'11 and 6ft.

Editor Rob he did an event a few months ago, smaller one and enjoyed it from what I heard, but it was charity kind of based, I saw a few photos with friends who got one...Peter actually can pull off 6ft with them, I was surprised!

Compare to 6'0 David Rasche in the same movie, and he certainly looks 6'0, possibly 5'11.75. I don't know if he's lost any height these days, but I would certainly say he was 6'0 in most of his performances.

If you watch Local Hero he towers over everyone (admittedly short cast) until Burt Lancaster shows up and looks about 2-3 inches taller than Capaldi in the beach scene.

Major recent Sunday Times interview says he is only 5ft 9, and that's been repeated since in another interview, but this has to be wrong. Jenna Coleman is 5ft 2 and even with massive heels on she only comes up to his chin; he is definitely more than 7 inches taller than she is.

I would have said he's possibly about 6ft from memory, and looking back at videos of him next to me and my friend. In the photo I have with him, he's about an inch taller than me I'd say (I'm 5'10), but I recall him crouching down a bit.
