Good for him for not claiming 6'1 aka half a foot taller than he really is! (Mike Bloomberg we are looking at you) Honest 5'8 man. Wait, Rob, you are an early sprouter???? Also, eh, it would depends on when Buttigieg was 5'8 in high school, had he stopped growing at 15 or 16, I wouldn't necessarily classified that as stupendously early, early yes, but not to the point it's worth pitying him for. Vastlybitter, ever heard of the law of averages and sampling? His school is just one sample, just like how NYC CHina town is one sample out of many locations in the US, I feel above average in NYC China town, but 5'9 is not above average but average on the dot, if not a bit below in the US.

Let’s just say that Fallon is 5’11.5 (although I personally think he’s closer to a flat 5’11). Buttigieg still looks 5’7 range next to him.

@dao5675 I did see one source say that Tulsi Gabbard is 5’6”. That seems closer to the truth for her than 5’8” is. I think the only 5’8” woman during the Democratic primary debates was most likely Elizabeth Warren. Since the women wore heels there, it sometimes could make it more difficult to judge how tall they probably looked there without footwear.

On the topic of Pete Buttigieg, however, I probably would’ve guessed him as like 5’8” too since on average he seemed shorter than most of the men at the debates.

It's weird how hard it is to find good pictures of him with celebrities given that his candidacy attracted quite a few of them. I've been trying to find good side-by-side pictures of him and Zuckerberg, but the only ones I can find have them spaced far apart or them walking mid-stride. So you can't tell if either one is taller. It maybe that Pete is just as tall as Mark or maybe a quarter-inch more. It may also be that he's a full half-inch or more taller.

An honest 5'8 sometimes give impression of strong 5'8. I don't see him fall below 5'8.
