While watching Paul's 'For The Love of Dogs' this evening, I heard some good songs. My favourite was the mid-Sixties sing 'Mellow Yellow', by influencial Scottish singer, Donovan.

I looked up his height and found 178cm. Donovan is 75 now. A page for him would be a groove, Rob!

I've been watching Paul when he dressed in drag and hosted a series of 'Blankety Blank' quizzes, which were hilarious.

There have been two female contestants this afternoon and next to him, they looked TINY! One lady was young and the other, not so young. The latter lady was literally inches below Paul's shoulders, and I wondered if he was perhaps nearer the 6ft3 mark.

Silly me! He was wearing high heels!

One night this week, I watched Paul's 'For The Love of Dogs' on ITV1. It featured a little albino pug-style dog, and his eyes protruded so badly that he needed an operation. Sharon Osbourne popped in and wanted to adopt him, but it was considered unwise for the dog to travel all the way to America. The dog made an excellent recovery and was successfully rehomed.

Another case was that of a white boy dog who was rescued from drowning. The sight of his limp, waterlogged body looked tragic. The little fellow was so traumatized that he was sent on to a quiet rescue centre in the countryside to convalesce because the city noises were upsetting him.

The final story I'd like to tell you about is about a black female Labrador. This rescue dog had been eating things from the floor and she had to be trained not to - by being given a treat every time she walked past a serving of food and then she'd be praised with words of encouragement. I never knew that Labradors were dubbed 'The Dustbins of the Dog World'! 😂😂😹

How lovely that there are people out there willing to devote their time like this. I'm glad that the Battersea Dogs and Cats home is one that I still support. I used to have 10 'on the go' every month, and one which I renewed annually, but finances aren't quite what they used to be, alas. One day when I'm more physically able, I'll take them up again. Most have stayed in contact.

Paul O'Grady has always been such a laugh, right from his Lily Savage days. When he wore a dress, his tall height was FAR more noticeable; he must have had to travel far and wide to find elegant dresses for his 6ft1 + heels frame, unless he had them specially made. I know my boyfriend's girls used to often end up in tears because it was so difficult to buy things off the peg. I believe they settled for shopping at Long, Tall Sally. I hope there are more shops and online facilities to help out nowadays. At least small women can resort to children's clothes. Well, they serve the purpose!

I'm really enjoying Paul's 'For the Love of Dogs' Indian programme! It's a whole new ball game over there, with the rescue dogs encountering different types of hot-weather related problems, apart from the same lack of love that any animal can experience anywhere in the World.

He's taller than anyone I've seen on the programme so far, but it is only half way through and I'm writing this in the break! I can't see any evidence of bad posture with Paul, who must keep fighting fit walking his own little family of dogs he has at home!

I'm watching Paul this Christmas day on his 'For the Love of Dogs' programme and it is a lovely way to spend a bit of festive time. A mother dog has had 6 pups, the last one to come out of a litter of black puppies was a little pale fawn one! How quaint and what a surprise! Paul has also been spending time with a gorgeous brindled dog with a brown head and two other brown patches and his front legs are both in plaster, the poor thing!
Paul sits on the floor with these animals and loves them all! I think that is fantastic! You kind of get the impression that he would take them all home if he could! I love him for what he does for animals, especially dogs.
I actually thought Mr O'Grady was 6ft2. He looked very tall dressed as his hilarious 'Lily Savage' creation, who I enjoyed for years! Merry canine Christmas to Paul and all the dogs and cats from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home!🙋

I stood near Paul (about 5-10 feet away) late last year by chance at a station. He looked at least my height or very slightly taller, and I am 6ft. So yeah definitely in the 6ft - 6'1" range, listing is probably right although my opinion is 184-185cm.

Yes, that angle does favour him but he really looks a very strong 6'7" and doesn't look as if he'd measure under 6'7" barefoot even at the end of a long day. It is possible guys as big as him will downgrade. That's just about what a true 6 ft 8 would look like barefoot.

O'Gradys height is all over the place.......his posture isn't great I think. Sometimes he looks just 6'0", and when Stephen Merchant was on there only seemed 4" between them.He looked pretty much the same as Lenny Henry when he was on, and also looked the same as several other 6'2"ers. I think he is 6'1.5", but due to his posture can look shorter.....

He looks barely 6' to me compared to legit 6'1"-6'2" guys. Enrique Iglesias had 2 inches on O'Grady and hes 6'1.5". I would say O'Grady is more likely 5'11.5-6', maybe he's shrunk but he clearly aint 187cm anymore.

He was probably 6 foot to start with then shrunk a bit, i think he's 5'11 now, gotta be, he was 2 inches taller that 5'6 fern cotton who had 2-3 inch heals on, he would clear her by a clear 4 inches if he was the height he's claimed to be, just doesn't add up.

Rob, Cam Gigandet is at least an inche taller than Sean Farris in Never Back down when they square off in the carpark and Farris has shoes on, whilst Cam is bearfooted.

He is at least 2 inches taller than Grady. If Grady is really 6'1.5 (which I doubt) then Cam must be at least as tall as that and must have worn lifts. Which would also make Sean Farris around 5'11-6'.

Rob, Paul is definitely not 6'1.5. Did you see the shoes he was wearing in the link I posted...that heel at 04.29 ? They are crazy and even then he was barely taller than Moore. He obviously employed the magic shoes again for Schofield.

In this link, Paul looks nearer the claimed 6'1.5 but things are not as they seem...if you look closely the game is given away at the 04.29 mark. (See Rob's section on elevator shoes). To be fair Roger may have had a footware advantage last Friday (although not like Paul O'Gradys in the link). All in all I think 5'11 for Paul. He probably got up to 2.5 inches extra in his special shoes. Roger Moore is maybe 6'0.5 these days.

I also caught the end of the show with Roger Moore (only because it's on before The Simpsons, otherwise I can't stand O'Grady) and he did look noticably shorter. I believe Sir Roger was previously measured at 6'1" but at over 80 years old he may have shrunk slightly (although it's possible he's still very close to his peak height)

He's listed as either 6"0 or 6"1 across the internet. I don't think he is as tall as listed here, but is definatley around 6"0.

I would hedge a bet at 6"0.75.
