Paul is one seriously underrated actor.

I’m watching him playing Richard Wagner in the Ken Russell film ‘Lisztomania’ and he conjures up a very disturbing creation. He should have persevered with his film career, as his performances were fantastic.

In the 1970s, Paul had a couple of reggae hits. I didn’t buy them, but then I knew he was capable of so much more.

What an actor!

He also starred in Tommy.

I was listening to my new copy of 'Odds and Sods' by The Who today and it included quite a few songs that you could tell Pete Townshend was in the process of writing when he wrote the rock opera 'Tommy', a project he started in the late 60s, some of the songs being sung at the infamous Woodstock rock festival.

Well, as Paul Nicholas played the character Cousin Kevin in the Ken Russell movie, and there's a song included on my new album called 'Cousin Kevin Model Child', I started thinking about Paul Nicholas. For some strange reason, I reckoned that they'll be plenty of guys out there called Nicholas Paul, and only tonight, one of them was on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'. He called himself Nick, but we all know what that means, don't we?

I had a boss who was a dead ringer for Paul Nicholas when I was 18! It was excruciatingly embarrassing as I fancied Paul from his film parts, never having watched 'Just Good Friends' so much as once.

5ft9.75 for the gum-chewing 'Cousin Kevin', (Ken Russell's Tommy) as played by Paul Nicholas in 1975.

Would have guessed Nicholas was 5'10 ish - really didn't look much under that.

I never, ever watched 'Just Good Friends', but I remember Paul in 'Tommy' and 'Lisztomania'. He was clearly taller than Roger Daltrey, so I will agree with the 5ft9.5.
I have read, by the way, that Jan Francis is 5ft1!

Wow I see 6 ft guys look too tall back then put me in a 80s show and at my lean weight of 170 lbs I would look over 5'9.5 my height.

In Just Good Friends, Jan Francis is 5 ft 2in tall. I would say that Paul Nicholas was 5ft 10in tall in the popular 80s comedy but now is most probably just shy of that.
