Spanish Television personality, who is best known for hosting El Hormiguero.
On his show, he was 'finger-measured' beside a tape measure at roughly 163cm by the trusted hands of Fernando Alonso. Not content with this form of measurement, a well-worn medical stadiometer was swiftly brought on stage to get a more accurate reading. Fernando then re-measured him at 166.5cm, although this time, the bar of the stadiometer looked even more wonkier than Fernando's fingers.

As I've stated plenty of times before, there's no such "physique" or a 5'8" man or any other height. Look at the above picture. If Cruise is not a full 5'8", then he's just a touch under it at WORST.

I agree with Johnson, I think Tom Cruise is wearing lifts, and as he usually does, he combines the lifts with fairly thick heeled and soled boots (1.25 to 1.5 inch heel, the thick sole also giving a slight platform). I think he likes to gain maximum additional height from his footwear but still being able to straighten his knees.

Editor RobLifts of 1 inch will push the laces section of any shoe/boot up and shorten the foot.
Sometimes when walking, this can be spotted, but it's hard to tell with Cruise and the boots he had on that show.

Editor RobWatching the video, Cruise looked in the 5ft 8-8.5 range. He's got a boot, Motos a decent sneaker...I doubt there's more than a 1/4 inch between their footwear...unless Cruise had lifts in his boots, which is hard to spot as there's no obvious bulkiness in the laces which suggests an inch lift.

Editor RobFrom the video 165cm is the most I'd have said he could be against the tape measure. I think the camera was below his hair, so it might have added a fraction to how he looked.
