Novak looks at least 7 cms shorter than measured 194.5 Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he's also got half inch more shoes than him...
He doesn't look over 186 next to him, so stop saying he's 6'2.5, Mr. R! These pics speak by themselves! Rob, is 186 flat possible for him? Don't tell me he looks near 6'2 with Ibra!
Editor Rob
in some photos they don't look that far apart but then Ibra looks maybe like he's dropping height, on the tennis court he looks 3 inches smaller, I can still buy in the 187 range.
Mr. R said on 8/Feb/15
As always, the commentators at the Australian Open referred to the Djoker as 6-2.5 confirming my own personal sighting. He is at least 189cm and Murray is 192cm.
I've stood right next to him folks.

I think Novak is 187 but 6'1.5,
callum said on 18/Nov/14
I agree Novak at 6'1.75- Murray at 6'2 on here you can tell a 1/4 inch really?, If that were the case why does Murray always look a tad taller as in more than a 1/4 Inch when they play on the court in same shoes as in trainers, I dont get how you could even notice a 1/4 inch going off that logic you may as well give Novak the 6'2 same as Murray even though Andy is taller.
Murray looks consistently taller than 6'2 guys on here like David Haye for example, Taller than Boris Becker, Would be shocked if Murray was under 6ft2, He looks more 6'2.5 easily.
jay said on 17/Nov/14
Murray could measure anywhere between 6'2 and 6'2.5 I think, 187.5cm is his very low probably after training, He looks at least 1/2 Inch taller than Djokovic who is at least 6'1.5-6'1.75 range, Novak at 187cm seems fine, Murray is fot sure at least 1-2cm taller than Novak, the hair thing is complete bs, they stood side by side today at london playing eachother in an Interview and it is noticeable, Even discounting hair, Andy has 0.5 ins on Novak for sure imo.
I would say - Murray-188-189- Djokovic- 187 range- Federer- 185-186- Nadal- 184
Josh said on 13/Nov/14
Chris,
Yes I am a huge tennis fan and have seen all of the players over the years at the US Open.
Federer, Nadal,Murray, and Djokovic are for sure listed correctly.
Murray is a weak 6'2 as he claimed. The reason why so many think he is taller is he has a 6'3 type of limb structure. He's like a short version of a very tall gu y if that makes sense.Trust me, I have seen him many time...he is 6'2 max. Exactly like he said.
I myself pointed out to Rob that Djoko was shorter than Rob and suggested making him 6'1.5. The difference between the 2 is really only one cm though. It's not as much when they stand close minus Murray's hair as Rob noted.
Rob has done a great job with all 4 of the top guys...188, 187, 185, and 184 are all accurate imo. If anything, maybe Novak could be adjusted to 6'1.5 (still 187) since he looks smack dab in the middle of Fed and Murray to me. But they are all pretty darn accurate now.
liam said on 13/Nov/14
Murray has always looked a weak 6'2 and he is more than a 1/4 Inch on Novak, it is noticeable they all have pics in shoes this week and Murray is for sure a tad taller he could be closer to 6'.5 but I understand his listing here because he said himself 187.5cm but if so 188cm must be his lowest.
Djokovic might be 6'1.5- 6'1.75 based on this but I cant see how He would measure under 6'1.5, He looks 187cm, clearly taller than Roger Federer and I am not sure Roger would even go under 6ft1 at worst
chris said on 9/Nov/14
Boris Becker at 6'3, He looks 6'2 max?, He looks shorter than both Djokovic and Murray, Rob, your thoughts on Boris
Editor Rob
we discussed Boris a few times, yes I think a full 6ft 3 for Boris might be a bit much and he certainly could be 6ft 2 range, maybe even in his 40's his physique isn't as great and doesn't stand as tall as he used to in his 20's.
ray said on 6/Nov/14
Will Ferrell is listed 6'3 on here, Murray looked a good Inch taller in an Interview I saw, Murray did have a bit of footwear advantage but still would not be shorter than Ferrell in same shoes going off that, Also looked a tad taller than Boxer David Haye who is listed as 6'2 on here and Murray is taller than Djokovic by a bit, I follow both Players, Murray could be over the 188cm if anything, I am not convinced he is just 187.5cm one bit
chris said on 5/Nov/14
Murray has said 6'3 in his book yrs ago and then said 187.5cm so he he has said two he also recently said he is 6'3 in shoes so he must be a solid 6'2 guy.
Josh, Do you watch tennis, Murray is easily 0.5 inches over Djokovic and Novak is not under 187cm and Murray looks at least inch taller than Federer and I doubt roger is anything under 6'1.
I wouldn't be shocked if Murray is a fraction over 6'2 tbh, He is taller than David Haye who is on here at 188cm= 6'2, something doesn't add up, most people dont even know their exact height not that exact.
Josh said on 5/Nov/14
I find it unbelievable that people do not trust Murray when he says his own height.
jake said on 3/Nov/14
I agree Silent D, murray at 187.5 cm just seems a bit too low, Judging by all evidence on Novak I would be stunned if he measured under 187cm for example, bare minimum he looks is 6'1.5/6'1.75 he always looks tall, was easily inch on Federer who I dont think is under 6'1, Novak must be virtually a 6'2 guy.
Murray is a strange one, because he is clearly a bit taller than Djokovic, sometimes his posture is a bit poor, and he was also taller than a supposed 6'3 Will Ferrell but he had more footwear but even in level footwear going off that, I cannot see how Murray could be any less than Ferrell especially by an Inch?
Silent D said on 1/Nov/14
187cm. I always thought murray was around 190cm even if he claims 187.5cm. He might be 189cm.
ray said on 28/Oct/14
Any Guy who is a legit 6'1.5 at worst with his frame will pass as a 6'2 guy anyhow, On Novak he looks at least 187cm This listing is pretty accurate he looks Inch on Federer who looks a legit 6'1 so Novak must be around 6'2 flat, I think Murray is 6'2.5 he is for sure taller than Djokovic.
Arch Stanton said on 14/Sep/14
Yeah he can look a bit less than 176 pounds at times but I'd say it is a legit reading.
Mr. R said on 13/Sep/14
Murray is taller than that.
Josh said on 9/Sep/14
Mr. R, I've seen him numerous times he is 6'1.5 or thereabouts. You must think you are an inch taller than you really are, lol!
Andrea said on 8/Sep/14
And if he really is 6'2.5 as you say, Ibrahimovic is closer to 6'6!!!
Andrea said on 8/Sep/14
Mr. R, do you realize you lose credibility when you say things like these? Murray claims 187.5 and he's clearly taller than Novak... Better chance he's 6'1.5 than 6'2.5! And you can't base your estimations on what other guys claim. A guy like Tom Welling gets called 6'4 and 6'5 a lot by his "colleagues" and he himself claims to be just under 6'3...
Mr. R said on 7/Sep/14
Nole is 6-2.5 He walked right past me last year. The commentators at the US Open say the same thing and they are around him all the time.
Josh said on 6/Sep/14

Voiceless Dental Fricative said on 6/Sep/14

callum said on 13/Aug/14
Yh unless Andy is underselling his height a touch like he measured 6'2.25 but rounded down I have no idea, I mean I followed tennis for so many years now and Murray is a bit taller than The guys most would be listed as 187- 188cm like Andy Roddick, Tommy Haas Tsonga and Djokovic.
Novak at worst must be 187cm area he is for sure 1-2cm on Federer who I always thought was a legit 6'1.
Rob, Do yo think the 187.5cm Murray said is after the end of the day training?
ray said on 12/Aug/14
It all makes sense Elias, I would agree Novak Djokovic does look about 6'2 in general, Rob may have him right at 6'1.75 say I cant see him being under that but If Djokovic is 188-189cm) The 188 listing for Andy Murray is not correct, If Novak is 188cm which he might well be, I would give Murray 189cm.
Personally I think Murray is more 189cm and Novak is 187/188, Murray said in an Interview though that he is 6'3 in shoes recently and said 187.5cm on his Twitter so he must be a solid 6'2 guy but he looks taller.
Elias said on 11/Aug/14
I can't see Novak Djokovic shorter than Maria sharapova. If she is 6'2 (which seems ok for her) then Djokovoc is a strong 6'2 (188-189 cm )
Jon said on 8/Aug/14
Most the top guys look fairly accurate- Tomas Berdych is around 6'5 at worst weak 6'5- Del Potro and Cilic look like legit 6'6 guys to me, Milos Raonic is about 6'5 also same as Berdych, Murray looks strong 6'2 range to me.
Djokovic is at least 6'1.5, Federer always looks a legit 6'1 to me, There is not a chance he would measure under 185cm for me
max said on 7/Aug/14
Donald Young height listed as 6'0 is a joke he is about 5'10 I think, Marcos Baghdatis was always listed as 6'0 or 182cm and now he is listed as 5'10 on the ATP site so I have no idea, Stan Wawrinka looks a legit 6'0 guy he is at least 183cm based on what I have seen of him.
Djokovic looks 6'1.5- 6'2 range
jon said on 7/Aug/14
Andy Murray did a q and a in glasgow the other month and he said he is 6'3 in shoes on that so he must be a legit 6'2 like he claimed recently- Sue Barker even guessed him 6'4 and that was his reply, He claimed 187.5cm on Twitter recently too even though he said 6'3 in his bio years back but then must have been the shoe measurement.
I always thought Murray was 6'2.5 he might still be or around 6'2.25, I think If we go with Murray at 6'2, Novak is 6'1.5 , Andy is taller for sure by a good half Inch.
How Tall is the young player Nick Krygios, Looked at him to Murray today looks a legit 6'4 pretty much, I believe he is listed as 6'4 also
kevin said on 2/Aug/14
They dont measure the players on ATP, Most are accurate within a 0.5 inch I think a lot are not accurate though, Hewitt is not 180cm or 5'11 more 5'9.5, Robby Ginepri is a good example he has always been listed as 6'0 but his own website has his height down at 5'11, Vince Spadea gave his height as 5'10.5 was listed as 6'0 also, Donald young is the same looks 5'10 range listed as 6'0.
Novak does look a genuine 6'2ish guy, He is at least 6'1.5- 6'2, I would have gave Murray the 189cm, I agree on the 195cm for Berdych he is 6'4.5 at least
176,2Tunman said on 10/Jul/14
Agree with Arch, the 187,5 of Murray did upset the balance.
Federer was always listed at 185 so let's assume he's no more than 6'0.75-6'1 flat.Nole is listed 187 in early listings, which seems fair.Nadal, although listed 185 seems most of the time a good 0.5" shorter than Fed so 6'0.25-0.5 for him.
I don't know why but I still feel Murray is more than 187,5.Maybe he measured at his absolute worst and is generally more 188,1cm taller than Djokovic.
SAK said on 9/Jul/14
I don't think Berdych is only 6'4/193cm. He is close to 6'5. 195cm is better fit for Berdych.
Pierric said on 8/Jul/14
I'm agree with Josh about Federer 185 and Nadal 183-184. Djoko is around 187 and Murray 188. For Tomas Berdych, I'd say about 193.
SAK said on 7/Jul/14
Djokovic is an inch taller then Federer. Djokovic should be listed as 188cm. Murray should be listed 189cm. If Djokovic remains at 187 and Murray 188 then Federer needs to go down to 185cm and Nadal 183cm. Dimitrov looks 6'2.
Josh said on 7/Jul/14
Arch,
Djokovic looks 2 cm taller, I agree...Fed is simply a flat 6'1..that's all...needs to be taken down a cm. and Nadal can stay at 184 but go down to 6'0.25
Josh said on 7/Jul/14
Arch,
I wondered about Dimitrov too... I think he's around 6'2...looks pretty similar to Murray and Djokovic. 6'3 is too much for him, in that picture he is only slightly taller than the 6'2 at best Sharapova (many have questioned that height although I think she is close) However, he is wearing nike sneakers and she is wearing flats.
Yeah, I agree the guys above 6'0 but not above 6'2 seem to look and move the best on court. Below that seems "weak" and above that seems "lumbering".
Arch Stanton said on 6/Jul/14
Rob I'm really not convinced Djokovic is only a cm taller than Federer. I had a good look at them today and he looks a full inch taller. The difference is noticeable. Murray's 187.5 claim has really upset the balance!

He does look 6'3" there actually. He's listed at 190cm. He did look a few cm taller than Djokovic, maybe he is?
Arch Stanton said on 5/Jul/14
Rob how tall do you think Grigor Dimitrov looks? I've seen 6'3 listed for him but he really doesn't look it. How does he look with Sharapova? I thought he edged out Novak yesterday but they looked very close in height. He might be 6'2".
There's a lot of 6'4"+ tennis players around now but I really think the shorter 6'1-6'2" players look a lot better aesthetically on the court and move much better than the bigger guys. Dimitrov, Djokovic, Federer and Nadal look really good on court and move very well, but some of the bigger guys like Raonic who is listed at 6'5" (and genuinely looks it) really look sluggish during rallies and don't seem as athletic. That Nick Kyrgios kid though I was most impressed with. He looks near 6'5" to me on court but moves quite well. He's listed at 6'4" but I think that was taken when he was 17 or 18 and has grown. He looked more 6'5" in the Nadal game.
Editor Rob
he's been called 187-190cm, he can look near 6ft 2.
Arch Stanton said on 1/Jul/14
@Seahawk Fan. You place too much emphasis on one photo.

Djokovic really looks near 6'2 on court, very slim build too.

Mr. R, the announcers have referred to Murray as 6'3 several times, he came out on his twitter and said he is under 6'2 (and Djoko is obv a bit shorter than Murray). I simply don't know what else can be said. 6'2.5 is an impossibility.

If you look at enough pictures of them there's more than a .25 inch difference between them. When they're standing even Murray ALWAYS looks taller than Novak. If it was only .25 difference we'd expect that they'd look the same height some of the time.
Murray actually claims to be 187.5. Which is closer to 6'1.75 then 6'2. I would put the muzz at 6'1.75 and Djokovic at 6'1.25.

Could have sworn that Murray looked every bit of 189.But well, now claiming 187.5 would mean that he probably measured himself accurately to give exactly his height with the .5cm. This would bring Djokovic rather to 186.5-87, don't you think guys? This would also confirm the 185 mark at which Federer was listed everywhere. I remember very well that in the 2005 RG Nadal was listed at 183 (74Kg)aged 19, maybe this was always his actual height but a year later got measured say mid morning near 185, like 184.5 (I think he's maybe 183,5 or 6'0.25)
Balrog said on 2/Feb/14
Exactly MD, I've been saying this forever. Nole 187cm. Nadal 183cm and Federer 185cm.
I was very sure of this because I have met Juan Martin Del Potro, listed at 6'6'' and he is a legit 6'6'' man if not taller, the guy was a solid 5in taller than me in flat ground when I met him. So since then, I compare Juan Martin next to Novak, Rafa and Roger. Murray actually I thought of a strong 6'2'' guy. Like 6'2.25''.
A friend of mine also met Bernard Tomic, he said to me he is 6'5'' easily but I've seen him next to Del Potro and looks more like a weak 6'5''. He was listed age 18 at 6'4'' so maybe he grew another half inch...
Nadal was listed at 6'0'' until he won his first GS.
Arch Stanton said on 2/Feb/14

I don't get what's taking so long. You knew coming into this and changing Murray's height that it would set into motion a 1cm downgrade for Novak, Rafa and Roger, each.

Rob, How Tall would you guess Tennis Legend Boris Becker, listed 6'3 could be under the mark though, he now coaches Djokovic, maybe around 6'2.5?
Becker was a proper 190cm peak. He should still be peak in his mid 40s but 6'2.5-6'2.5" looks about right.

I do think that Murray is a full out 6-3 and Nole 6-2.5 He was listed at The Aussie Open as 6-3 because they rounded up. I saw him last year and he was head and shoulders above everybody else.

Djokovic is 6'1.5. Sort of undebatable considering Murray is listed at 188 per his own word (actually the listing is rounded up), add the fact that Djoker was listed at 187 cm for years until he was 24 on his official website. The probably wanted him to be a round 6'2.

He was listed at 187cm, forever, and that's what he had on his own website for a very long time. It's not until he rose into the top three or so we see the extra centimeter tacked on. I guess it just rounded easier in imperial and that's why we see the change. But, now, he is either 187cm or 188cm(tops) with a long neck that can give him the impression of being taller.
Lo sgozzatore said on 6/Dec/13
6'2.5? Better chance he's 6'1.5, just look at him with Marat Safin, who's listed at 193, he looks more than just 2 inches shorter!
Pleb said on 4/Dec/13
Judging from the pic Late 187cm posted.
Del Potro 1.99m
Djokovic 1.86m
Federer 1.84m
Murray 1.89m
Nadal 1.82m
Advantage Nadal for being nearest to the camera, anyway notice he's eye level is virtually at Murrays teeths, so around 3 inches between them. Del Potros eye level is bang on Djokovics head, Del Potro has around 5 inches or more on Djokovic.
Mr. R said on 2/Dec/13
Nole is 6-2.5 He walked past me earlier this year at UCLA. Even the commentators say he is 6-2.5 Come on Rob, give him the extra half inch!

@ Levi
Sounds good. Definitely the right ratios.
Arch Stanton said on 10/Jul/13
Del Potro reminds me of a big Huey Lewis!!
Arch Stanton said on 10/Jul/13
Rob do you think Del Petro looks a legit 6 ft 6 guy? He looked easily 4 inches taller than Djokovic. McEnroe referred to him several times at 6'7" or "at 6'6" or 6'7". Might he be 199cm? He did loked between 4 and 5 inches taller than Djokovic I thought/
Editor Rob
standing tall he looks a 6ft 6 guy.

Shoes should be similar. Good for comparing Djokovic, Federer and Nadal.
Del Potro actually makes a 6'2 guy look small!
In comparison to others, is Murray looking closer to 6'4 here?
Arch Stanton said on 26/Jun/13
His hair cut kinda makes his head look like a microphone though LOL!
Arch Stanton said on 20/Jun/13
Looks 6'2" range to me, typical ecto build and features. I've rarely seen a guy look more comfortable in his own his skin than Novak, very strong features.

Djokovic met BB player Dwayne Wade who is listed as 6f3.75/192.4cm (without shoes)

So here Djokovic next to Wade (192.5cm), Wozniacki (177cm), Rory (174cm).

Rob,
The post by "Anonymous" dated 7/Mar/13 is spam. Seems you accidentially slipped it through.
Editor Rob
very little spam manages to get through, there's an absolute bucketload that bots try to submit but it never ends up in the database, but the odd one can get mistakingly sli through the 'approved' side!
a problem with bots is that they forge IP's from legitimate sources, like big ISP's, so if I hard block them this can inadvertantly block legitimate viewers aswell.
If anybody posts and they don't see their posts appear, 99% of the time it is very likely because of the ever increasing amount of spam blocking I have to add to the site.
Mr. R said on 6/Mar/13
Okay. It's settled I saw Nole up close on Monday night and he is closer to 6-3. He walked right in front of me, and was wayyyyy taller than everyone else.
Balrog said on 31/Jan/13
No way Verdasco similar to Djokovic. He's 6'1'' at most.
John said on 28/Jan/13
Yeah, Verdasco is def close to 6'2. Djokovic actually looked similar to Murray yesterday...Im thinking Djoker is a full 6'2 and Murray is not much over that.
SAK said on 27/Jan/13
Yo says on 11/Feb/12
Verdasco is not 188 cm. He is 6foot to me
-------------------------------------------------
Clearly Verdasco is not 6ft. He is same as Djokovic he is 187-188cm(6f1.5-6f2).
Balrog said on 27/Jan/13
Another Grand Slam for this amazing player.
Balrog said on 23/Jan/13
Ferrer 5'8'' and Tipsarevic 5'10''
John said on 22/Jan/13
Sak, agreed...good picture. And a lot of guys have questioned Ferrer's height. I even heard Brad Gilbert on ESPN say he was more 5'8.
John said on 22/Jan/13
I don't know he looked a little shorter than Hewitt 1st round who I don't think himself is a full 5'10.
SAK said on 22/Jan/13
David Ferrer gets listed 5f9/175 on atp and other websites.
I think Tipsarevic is 176/177cm(5f9.5) at best.
Balrog said on 22/Jan/13
So if Tipsa is 5'9'' Djokovic is what, 6'0.5''-6'1''? Please, Novak is a tad under 6'2'' and Tipsa is 5'10'' range.
John said on 21/Jan/13
Balrog no way. He's more likely 5'8 than 5'10. But 5'9 is fine.
Balrog said on 20/Jan/13
Tipsa is more 5'10'' than 5'9''
John said on 15/Jan/13
5'11 is definitely generous for Janko. He's about 5'9 I would guess.
SAK said on 14/Jan/13
How tall is Tipsarevic. He gets listed as 5f11/180cm. But that seems a tad bit generous.

Looks 5f8 next to Djokovic. Could be bad angle.
Balrog said on 9/Jan/13
Because Nadal is not over 6 feet and Verdasco is 6'1'' or slightly under.
John said on 8/Jan/13
Jake, thats interesting. I've heard a lot of shorter estimates for Verdasco...however I never saw it myself. It's a mystery because he has looked clearly taller than Nadal. Check out AO 09 highlights at the end when they embrace. Verdasco looks about an inch taller than Nadal.
John said on 6/Jan/13
Verdasco looks close to 6'2 to me
Silent d said on 4/Jan/13
6 foot 2. Verdasco is 6 foot 1.
balrog said on 12/Oct/12
Actually there's more than two inches between Djoko and McEnroe because John is closer to camera. Novak is 187-188 cms. Anything under 6'1.5'' is not serious.
John said on 21/Sep/12
Fabry, interesting pic...Mcenroe claimed to 'grow' to 6' with stretching. Although....I doubt it. He's listed 5'11 here which looks right.
There looks to be about 2-2.5 inches between them. Who knows with the different variables like footwear, lifts (I doubt it but since Mac seemingly lied about growing, he may be obsessed with his height), and positioning.
I do think however, that Djokovic may only be 6'1.5, but not below that. There is too much evidence of him looking 188 around many players/people, so under 187 I could not accept without further evidence.
Anon said on 12/Sep/12
Djokovic is likely a full 6'2 or very close to it. Federer is closest to 185.5cm (evening) so maybe 186cm in the early afternoon. Nadal is relatively straight forward to estimate based on his torso length/head size in addition to comparing him to Iker Casillas (at 182) and Federer of which there are a lot of photos. Nadal is not 185cm ..except in the early morning, he is very possibly 184cm but likely something between 183 and 184. 183-183.5cm in the evening/late night is about as accurate as you will get. It's hard to say whether true height is morning/afternoon/evening/late night or what? I personally view stature in the evening/late night as true height as it's a height that you are never less than. The guinness book of records measures height 3 times over the course of 10 hours starting in the morning and gives an average of the 3 as an official listing.
mister said on 16/Jun/12
Djokovic is 6'2. Nadal is a hair over 6'. He was listed as 6' when he was 19 and won one of the clay masters titles.
SAK said on 12/Jun/12
Yeah definately please add Nadal I think he 184cm.
Djokvic i think is 187cm. 188cm is not out of question though.
John said on 11/Jun/12
When he and Rafa did the customary side embrace on opposite sides of the net before the resumption of the match today, the difference between the 2 of them looked more than normal. Djokovic was standing as straight as Nadal, whereas he usually leans in a bit. I think it has been proven Djokovic is 187-188. Taking this into account, Rafa can't be more than 184. Difference was a clear 1.5 inches. Please create a listing for Rafa, Rob.
FEDFAN said on 12/Feb/12
I watched the Djoker-Nadal match in Miami this yaer. At the end they presented the trophies and Rafa and Nole stood next to each other. Rafa is at MOST 183cm.(barefoot) If Nadal is supposed to be 185, and Djoker is conservativly 187 then either Djoker is taller than listed(doubt it)or Rafa is shorter than listed.(more likely)

Rob, now that you have listings for Federer, Djokovic and Murray, surely you'll add Rafael Nadal? He's considered on of the best players ever. What would you estimate Rafa at?
Editor Rob
I think he's likely near 185

The fact is though is that Hewitt never appears 5ft11.

How Lleyton duped the ATP's measurement system by over an inch no one will ever know.
Novak is a legit 6'2 I believe. here are numerous pictures of him and federer together and he is a bit taller than federer who is a strong 6'1.

Mr. R said on 3/Feb/12
@SAK John is right. Just before the match begins, they list the player's statistics on the screen. The whole tournament he was listed at 6-3. I also think that he grew a little after he started playing. He is 6-2.5
jake, 1.82 m- 1.83 m- 1.84 m said on 2/Feb/12
What do you estimate for Swiss No. 2 player Stanislas Wawrinka? To me he does look the height he's billed at -- 6ft. 1.83 m is on his official site. He appeared a bit taller than Marcos Baghdatis.
Chris said on 2/Feb/12
Yes, Dolgopolov is 5'11, he was listed at that height last year. Hewitt is not 6', he's 5'11 he looks shorter beacuse in the court he slouches A LOT. Pay attention to that detail.
John said on 2/Feb/12
Dolgo is about 5'10.5...I saw him in person. Lleyton is maybe 5'9.5...looks a hair under 5'10.
Djokovic did in fact get listed at 6'3 on TV, I've seen this before; I don't think it's the Australian Open, but rather ESPN's TV coverage that has him at that height. Their website has him at his correct height. It's been going for awhile now.. I noticed that last year too. It's either a mistake that no one cared to correct or he was measured in shoes for something.
SAK said on 1/Feb/12
While watching a Lleyton Hewitt match @ Australian Open 2012, a commentator said that Lleyton is 6ft but looks short because he has a long body and short legs and wears very baggy shorts. In actual fact Lleyton is 5ft10(1778cm) or 5ft9.5(177cm) @ best.
SAK said on 1/Feb/12
Yes definitely Dolgo is 5ft11 @ best.

Witchdoctor's right. I looked on his site less than a year ago and he was actually listed at 187 cm. I don't necessarily get why they would change it, but to me it's possible they want to make the listings equal to a full number of inches i.e. without fractions. So the former 187 cm might be the real thing. And if so, then official sites aren't always reliable.
Chris said on 27/Jan/12
The ideal height for a male tennis player is between 6' and 6'4. Only six players in the top 20 aren't in that range (6'9 Isner, 6'6 Cilic and Del Potro, 6'5 Berdych, 5'11 Tipsarevic, 5'9 Ferrer)

He's always listed himself on his own website at 187 cm earlier in his pro career. I think he is very close, but not quite 6'2". His thin build and longish limbs give him the appearance that allows him to eke out another centimeter.
