Although Nick Berry's time in the 'Heartbeat' repeats is well and truly over in the ITV3 repeats, we still hear him singing the theme tune in every episode! Now one thing I am admittedly good at is naming nearly all the songs that get played on the show, including the artists who sang them. Yes, I started getting into my music at the age of 5-and-a-half!
You can also see Nick in his absolute prime in 'Classic EastEnders', and it wouldn't come as a surprise if he topped 5ft9 those days.
To be on the safe side, he gets 5ft9 exactly. 😁👍

5ft9 peak height is the most I would give him for his peak height. In fact, I think 5ft8.75 would be nearer the mark!

@ MSJC - Hi! Yes, for Nick the shrinking process is doubtless under way! It's never a very nice thing to admit to, but he must be pushing 50 now!

Yes, we have a great hatrick of male soap stars with new pages on this website and I would like to thank Rob for adding them all, I put in a page request for Nick Berry so it is really satisfying to see him here!
Nick was brilliant in Heartbeat and he and his doctor wife were certainly a couple that you simply had to admire! I used to watch Heartbeat with bmy family and they were massive fans of it too! I used to love the good community spirit in Aidensfield and the great thing is that Nick and the other Police Officers involved themselves with the community in such a nice way, it reminds me of how things were for my Dad for a lot of his career in the Police Force.
Reading your comment has brought back memories of my family and myself sat watching greats like "Heartbeat", "Bullseye", "Blockbusters", amongst other programmes with the coal fire roaring in the background, it was always nice to get near to the fire, particularly if it was a cold winter!
Well it is early evening now and we have had a good weekend, we took Jasmin for a walk this afternoon!

@ Nik - You'll have noticed the way both of us are homing in on these male soap stars! Remember not so long ago on the 'Height Request' page, we both agreed that there weren't enough male soap stars on celebheights? Of course you do! Well, in the past couple of days, we have had Nick here, Sid Owen and Joe Absolum added! Not bad going, eh? I think of the three of them, my favourite is Nick here because he was the original cop - with a lovely Cusack sister playing his doctor wife - in 'Heartbeat', even singing the theme tune! That takes me back to the Sunday evenings of the 90's, when my Mum, Christopher and I would gather round the fire to watch it! It was a real family occasion, and brings back happy memories!

Nick is a very interesting addition to this website and his excellent acting abilities have meant he was a must for a page on here! I agree Sandy, he deserves a lot of credit for being honest about his height and pointing out he is a little bit smaller than what he was believed to be.

Editor Rob sometimes people are reasonably honest...I don't think I've once seen an actor under 6 foot who rounded down, but of course there may be a small proportion above 6ft who have dropped the fraction.
