He was listed on the internet as 5ft 8in for a long time but suddenly he's shot up to 5ft 10in on many sites. He could well be 5ft 9in but he might be under, say 5ft 8.5in. I saw a photo of him in a line up next to Dr Antony Fauci, who is heading up the US Coronavirus task force and it seemed to me that if Pence is this sort of height then Dr Fauci couldn't be the 5ft 7in he is listed at on many sites. I think Dr Fauci is 5ft 6in, maybe a little under.

I have some perspective on the Republicans in this group having stood next to all of them in security details. I was 5'10 in my twenties in the military. I am a 5'9 ( (just a hair over). I was wearing regular dress shoes with all. I am taller than Pence by what seemed like a good bit. I put him at 5'8 max. Definitely not 5'9. Bush was slightly taller than me in 2006. I put him at 5'10 1/2 to 5'11 max. Donald Trump is substantially taller than me despite slouching. He is just large (of course I am short). Trump is a solid 6'1 pushing or likely closer to 6'2. Rob I just did a BMI test for Pence and it says at 5' 10" and 208 lbs, he's put as overweight. But if you put him at 5' 9" with the same weight, he's put at obese. Seems a bit strange doesn't it Rob?

I think 5'10 maybe possible it's a measurement done by the government and they would have you do a barefoot measurement though could it be earlier in the day? When I was in the navy they had us do barefoot measurements though who knows maybe they did use shoes he doesn't really seem like a tall guy anyways

He wore his boots to the republican debates; he wears them to senate meetings, he wears them seemingly all the time. And those cowboy boots give a minimum 2" height increase. And Trump and Pence are generally wearing relatively flat-soled dress shoes which provide maybe 1" of lift (maybe even 0.75"). I wager that Ted Cruz is 5'9" or 5'9.5" at most.

I'm assuming he was measured by the doctor, so I don't know why there's a disparity. Could it potentially be a peak height? He's 58, him having lost an inch somewhere along the line isn't that out of the blue. He really doesn't look 5'10 ever.

Might have been 5'9 at his peak, but these days he's clearly about 5'8 as evidenced by the many pictures taken of him next to Trump where the top of his head is below Trump's eyeline by a noticeable margin. Good example of a guy with a build that makes him look taller, i.e. lean but with a muscular upper body and broad shoulders.

He's 5'8 tops Trumps son Barron who is 10 I believe was around the same height as him and I'm sure Barron is no more than 5'7.

Yeah I also thought about 5'10" for him but 5'9" could work too I guess. Never looked short in the debates. The 6'0" listing is way off. I don't know Shredder but out of all politicians Hillary still scares me the most, Pence is just sort of "meh", same as Tim Kane.
