American Actor best known for playing Tyler Lockwood on TV series The Vampire Diaries. In a TvGuide video interview, Michael said: ""[Joe from true blood]...he's like 6 foot 8 or something, I'm like a..good 5-9 on a good day", I thought he was around our height. In this convention photo I had 0.8 inch sneakers, jenny 0.6ish and Mike's were pretty similar to mine.

@Jdubbz it means same thing as classic 5'10er. Changing my guess, this guys height can be hard to judge as sometimes he looks like a solid 5'8 other times just scraping it, as shown in the two pictures linked. The one with Ian Somerhalder may be a bit unfair as although I think he's taller than Michael without shoes by around an inch, he's most probably wearing those big boots of his which may exaggerate it slightly. A leaning 6ft matthew davis clears them both, Flat 5'8 is my guess.

Editor RobHe does look at most 1 inch shorter there, however it is likely Daniel has lost a cm of height on his left hip, because his right knee is bent (and planted).
In person Trevino looked around our height and Daniel looked over 5ft 9 for sure.

I think minimum he's 5'8, he can pass for 5'8.25-5'8.5 standing tall, and probably hit 5'9 depending on the shoe.

I think he's a strong 5'8. When he says 5'9 on a good day i'd believe that too if he's talking about his height in shoes like a pair of airforce 1's or something, then yeah he could be up to 5'9. This photo is a bit confusing though as it looks like 5'8 jenny is edging everyone in it. Though it looks like she's standing tall whilst big rob and michael are leaning a bit, zach is definitely showing a laid back posture too so that could be why!

Nico45: I think that when you measure yourself, you should keep your back straight and not lean. Stand as if you were saluting in the military. That's the height you should measure. I think when we stand stiffly, we do have a tendency to lean back, and lose maybe a 0.25".

I think Ian solmerhalder and Paul are given lifts during VD on occasion. Although the characters in the books are supposed to be average height. They look tall in a lot of scenes.
