I think 6’4” for Michael Moriarty’s peak height is too generous. In Law & Order, I got the impression 6’2”-6’3” Richard Brooks was approximately half an inch taller than Moriarty. Moriarty was even younger than fifty years old when Law & Order started so he may have not even lost any height by then.
I’d therefore give Moriarty 6’3.25” at peak, absolutely nothing over that. 6’3” and 6’2.75” remain other sensible estimates for Moriarty’s peak.

He was already well into his 50's when he was on Law & Order so I imagine he may have shed a small bit already by then.

Noticeably taller than David Carradine and Richard Roundtree in the cheesy cult classic Q: The Winged Serpent...at the time, thought Moriarty was 6'4", Carradine 6'1" and Roundtree 6'2" or 6'3"...currently listings all make a bit more sense. I think a half inch shorter fits with Clint Eastwood in Pale Rider and he looks relatively a bit taller than 6'2.75" Liev Schreiber did next to Denzel Washington in Courage Under Fire as in the photo below.

Rob can you add Q, A Return to Salem's Lot, The Hanoi Hilton, and James Dean? Not sure if Courage Under Fire is worth mentioning too, although it wasn't a lead role. 191 is fine I think. An ageing Eastwood edged him out in Pale Rider. 192 is possible but never 6'4".

In Pale Rider he appeared the same height as Clint Eastwood. I believe they 'were' both 6'3" at that time. Eastwood would have been 55 and Moriarty 44 or so. 6'3" is realistic for a younger Moriarty. 6'2" plus today. He's pushing 70.

Also, when he did Holocuast on TV with a young Meryl Streep, he also towered over everybody. Maybe he wasn't 6-4, but he was 6-3, and has lost an inch or so. He has had a lot of alcohol trouble, so his health may have affected his height.
