I stood next to him and my estimation is that he's 5'.85" , DEFINITELY LESS THAN 6 FT. Unless he uses some kind of heels in the shoes. The guess option below doesn't even give anything less than 5.11 as an option , lol.

6'1" is definitely taller than at least %90 of males so a true 6'1" should frequently be the tallest in many social situations. In college and a city it's a bit different though. Almost no one is 6'5" so that's not even questionable that it's more remarkable than 6'1".

I would never view a 6'1" guy as short, despite me being over 6'5". Just because someone is shorter than you, doesn't mean that you have to automatically consider them short. There's a difference between "short" and "shorter". A 6'1" guy is shorter than me of course, but not short.

(which numbers of visitors here suspect smith was 6" in reality) bay look "6'1.25" which turns him 5'11.25.
