Rob, she’s taller. In all scenes of the office she seems like 1-1.25 inches shorter than Michael Scott and that’s when she is wearing 2.5-3 inch heels and Michael / carell is wearing probably 1 inch shoes. If you’re giving him 5’9 she’s at least 5’7.25

I think she’s between 5’7 and 5’8. I was watching recently Netflix’s “The movies that made us” about Back to the Future. Melora Hardin was the first choice to play Jennifer when Marty McFly was supposed to be played by Eric Stoltz. After Stoltz was fired and 5’5 Michael J. Fox hired, the role of Jennifer was also recast because Melora was 3” taller than Michael J. Fox and the director and producers felt that “no teenage girl would date a guy 3” shorter than her”. I don’t think she’s under 5’7 and is (or was in her prime) most likely 5’7 1/2 to 5’7 3/4.

I’m rewatching The Office and she looks for the most part just as tall, if not taller, than the (apparently) 5’ 9 Steve Carell. I dunno if that’s just the heels, but unless Carell’s shorter than billed, I’d guess that Hardin is taller than 5’6 and a bit. I’d say probably closer to 5’ 7 and three quarters, if not 5’ 8.

Rob, she also starred in Absolute Power with an all-star cast including Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman....good movie.

Yes, she's gorgeous and can seem tallish on-screen but wears heels usually. Mainly know her from The Office so watching her bounce around (God help me) as a guest on Yo Gabba Gabba! with my kids was refreshing.

I know that the older actors and personalities generally attract less interest than contemporary film and TV actors, but I really think that ones like Rudolph Valentino, Stewart Granger and Van Heflin etc are ones worth adding purely as a resource and reference and for the novelty factor. Obviously you can't have entries for every minor B movie actor from the 30s and 40s, but there's still been some quite big names I've mentioned like those, Fred MacMurray, Mae West, Joan Blondell etc that you didn't add which I thought were worth adding for historical reference, even if they don't get much traffic. You've got to draw the line somewhere I guess and can appreciate that probably the majority of site users will never have heard of David Niven let alone somebody like W. C. Fields! But to Sam and I some of these people seem really big names to us and prominent at the time having seen a lot of their films ad them turning up again and again but most people are not as knowledgeable and seasoned as us with old film viewing! Personally I think anybody who was a fairly big star and in a lot of leading or top supporting films roles in a given decade is worth adding, but it's knowing where to draw a line. I mean we're not going to have entries on famous stage performers of the 19th century for instance!

Rob you really are impressively quite comprehensive on contemporary TV actors. I've found some ones I thought quite obscure and you have them. Showbiz is a big business and tough to cover with heights so you're doing a great job. You have how many now 6,000 entries? Obviously there's still thousands who might be worth adding missing but as you say you don't plan on selling to G and plan on being around when you're 75 and fighting again becoming G height :-) I do wish though you were a bit more liberal with some of the older actors/director requests that Sam and I ask for, like Harry Belafonte, Rudolph Valentino, and John Huston etc, but in fairness you've responded to a healthy percentage of requests which we both appreciate!
Amazing looking, she does look a solid 5 ft 6.

unfortunately I don't have enough hours in the day. I do look at some of these older names, I eventually plan to add as many as I can, but sometimes I just ain't that sure and need to try to view some things they were in or at least find comparisons. Don't be too despondent that some names aren't up, there are many thousands which I would like to add! No point putting up junk estimates though!
