My first impression of Hoekstra was a lanky 6 ft 7 guy, but sometimes looks nothing over 6'6 see this side comparison with Rutte for example!! Click Here Probably a guy who slouches at times with his lanky frame and why he can look shorter. I think he generally looks similar range to Daniel Cudmore.

Arch, Rutte actually reminds me a lot of Peter Jones facially, has the same squinty eyes and vain smirk. They could definitely pass for brothers. Height-wise it would also make sense, one is 6ft4 and the other 6ft7...I thought Mark would be older, turns out he's a year younger than Peter.

Anybody know how tall the Deputy PM Wopke Hoekstra is? I would guess 6 ft 7. He has that lanky goalkeeper look about him, Van de Saar esque. Edi Rama is closer to 6'6 than 6'5, he's taller than King Felipe who's a legit 6'5, but shorter than Vucic who's a legit 6'6, maybe even 6'6.5, and Edi look 1.5-2 than Rutte, Guess Edi is the equivalent of Prime Howard Stern which is 196.5 cm at noon

And by that, i think the least Rutte would be measured is ¼ inch below 6'4 and that count as extreme low

The average male in the Netherlands is 6.787 ft. Like in most countries, if you go a large city, like Amsterdam, average height seems to be slightly less. Problably because of the international character of the inhabitants. If you go to the rural areas in the east of the Netherlands, the people are insanely tall...
Some Dutch politicians are actually very tall: Rutte, Wilders and Hoekstra for example.That is above average.

Haven’t seen a lot of great pics but some decent ones of him and I wouldn’t give him below what he’s listed here. It wouldn’t even surprise me if this is his afternoon height and he’s 6’4 1/8” at lunch. But I wouldn’t be completely surprised if he ended up 6’3 7/8 either. Physically he looks 6’4” in the flesh. He has a head/face in terms of length of someone who is well in excess of 6’0”

From all i have seen i don't think Rutte is 6'4", more like 6'3" or a shade above. Legit 6'5" guys like Edi Rama or Vucic always look near two inches taller.
Also Stoltenberg isn't even near 6'2.5", he is barely taller than Obama and mostly listed as 6'1.5".

Yeah,it's possible that in some other less cosmopilitan regions the average could be slightly higher...like 183 maybe?While 188 is definitely a common mark in your country,it's still clearly over average.Having visited many belgian cities I can tell the dutch speaking city of Antwerp has a higher average than say Brussels or Liege but I don't know much about dutch cities tbh.

Anyways if I had to classify Europe according to average height the highest would be in Netherlands Scandinavia and Finland.Most former Yugoslavian countries have also a high average.
Then it would be mainly Central and Eastern Europe at least the largest part of them.Western Europe(not including Germany and Austria) is probably shorter.The smallest average of Europe could be the South Eastern part(Romania,Moldova,Bulgaria)as these regions are also among the poorest of Europe

You're welcome. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I feel that in every other country guys tend to be shorter. Even when I visit my neighbouring countries Belgium or Germany I notice a difference. I travelled through the US and Canada and I noticed most guys there were shorter than me. But I suppose in Southern Europe or like in Italy people are on average shorter than in Western Europe, at least that was my impression when I was there.

Also, if you'd only visit Amsterdam in the Netherlands you might still be tall at 190 cm because probably 70% of the people you'd meet are tourists or expats anyway, hahaha. I guess if you really wanna meet the Dutch you'd have to visit other places than Amsterdam.

Being about 5'9.5 but wearing thin footwear making me look 5'9 I thought the average youngster can't be more than 181 which compared to my country is exceptional.188 must be the equivalent of 185 in US/UK a solid tall height(85%)and for my country it's the equivalent of 180.Just that you realize how exceptional it is to have an average of 181:if you're 5'9 in my country you're already above average,now if you count the number of people at 6'1.5 it will be easily 20-25 times smaller.In your country you'll have the same share of 5'9 and 6'1.5.To be average at 6'2 would mean you'd have the same number of 5'9 and 6'7...nah I didn't witness that,at least in Amsterdam.While I only spent 4 days in Netherlands(only Amsterdam) I'd be surprised if it's really much higher in the northern regions.Your country being wealthy and quite small(no disrespect meant)I doubt there will be a significant difference between highest and lowest place maybe 1 cm at most...

If I walk the streets for half an hour I would see plenty of guys taller than me for sure. It also depends on where you live. It might seem odd for such a tiny country, but in the north and west people are on average taller than in the south, where I grew up. It's not rare to meet girls that are my height or taller, but it doesn't happen on a daily basis either obviously.

When I think back at college for example, I would say in most classes 15% of the guys were shorter than me, 10% would be taller (in the 190cm), and 75% would be more or less my height. And this was in the south, in the north it might be different.

I feel pretty average here. The only time I sometimes feel tall is when I'm travelling, even in other western countries I notice that guys are often shorter than the average guy here. I can imagine you being really tall at 190cm in an Asian country.

Yeah I guess that's why it's the average height, not median. You guys have a lot of over 195cm guys, but also plenty guys under 180cm guys, which after averaging it out, turn out to be just under 6ft (182cm).

Just curious cause I'm around 190cm and usually the tallest guys in everyday situations here. (South East Asia)

I would say it's still tall, but probably not as tall as in many other countries. I am 188cm (6'2), and even though I know plenty of really tall but also really short guys here, I would say most of my friends and guys I know, are around my height, give or take a few cms. Whenever you find yourself in a group of guys here, there are usually always a bunch of guys who are taller than 190cm.

I'm Dutch, so I see the guy on TV a lot and I've seen him standing next to plenty of other people to have a good judgement on his height. He could be a cm shorter by now at 53, but he definitely is or is close to 193cm.

That seems much more likely but do you reckon he's the kind of guy who almost never looks his height on pics?You could have a rapid glance on pics of him with Obama,Xi Jinping and others,if anything he consistantly looks 6'3 although for me it's hard to believe you've been 1.5" off the truth.
With Cameron I would give him a weak 6'4 which is certainly more reasonable than 6'3 flat anyways.
However take a look at this video of him with Macron,while he certainly towers him I'm not sure there's more than 7" well even if the camera could possibly favor Macron it's hard to see 8" tbh

Rutte is around 193 cm, as he has stated in an interview. You can see him standing next to Willem Alexander who is 190 cm and you can see that Rutte is a bit taller. The only person who appears to be taller than Rutte is Wopke Hoekstra, the third one from the right, and that makes sense because he's reported to be almost 2 meters tall.

Wilder's security are definitely a physical abnormality as at least two of his regulars are 4 - 5 inches taller than him.

That said a lot of the time in photos you see he is surrounded by people who are more than half a head shorter than him so he's clearly above average for Dutch standards.

There's a picture of him with 5'7 Gerard Batten and I'd say there was about 8 - 9 inches between them.

6'4 would be a safe bet.

Rutte is 194cm and not a mm under.
