@little sue all the 5'7-5'8 girls I know are satisfied with their height and wear high heels proudly. I agree with Dean, most girls nowadays would pick 5'9 over 5'3 and I would do it too (5'9 is too much for a woman who likes high heels, in my opinion, but I'd prefer being quite tall than shortish). Ideal height is somewhere inbetween the two (5'6-5'8 range), personally I'd love being 5'7-5'8.

Hmm maybe because they are older? Young women espcially when they are like 5ft 3 or 4 always claim how short they are even when in heels..a bit like Clayton is above. Petit isnt so great anymore, sure its better than fat but I bet a majority of women under 25 nowadays would pick a 5ft 9 supermodel look over 5ft 3 petit.

A couple of 5ft 8 women I work with Dean would love to be 5ft 3 so they can wear those big heels and become 5ft 8, lol!

@ Sue - Its like 5ft 8 or 9 guys complaining. Anyone whoes not over average will complain somewhere(so 5'11 guys and 5'6 women first heights that will NEVER be called short).
Like I said on my other post on the general height column, young women now want to be taller and want the biggest heels, no longer would they rather be 5'3 over say 5'8.

It annoys me at barely 4ft 11 when girls of 5ft 3 or 4 moan about lack of height! I once worked in a shoe shop and would get average height girls coming in buying big heeled shoes and stand in front of me and moan and almost cry about their 'shortness'. I used to think "am I invisible to them or what!!"

When I was at school in the 1960's there was a girl who had polio and she used to wear a similar shoe on her short leg like she is wearing!!!
