Yes, once again we had a Christmas strewn with Carry On films, and like it or not, we can't stop ourselves from laughing at the bawdiness!

From the ages of nine to eleven, I was in the same school class as Kenneth's second cousin. She was a bright girl - and above average height. There was a family resemblance, but as for my classmate's one-year-younger blonde sister, also at the same school, the resemblance was completely STAGGERING! The girl was shorter, equally popular, and pretty. So if you think that Kenneth Williams in female form is awkward looking with an unusual voice, you are utterly mistaken!

@Rob, I've seen most of the films in the series now and poeple are right, Hawtrey did mostly edge out Williams. Any chance you can tweak Kenneth to 5'6.75?

Rob, a full 5'7 seems a tad high. Looking with Sid James in Carry On Cleo there seems a wee bit more than an inch between them, see what you think at 53:55 Click Here (delete the pop ups). Maybe around G height is accurate. He made Jim Dale look 5 ft 10 range in Again and I'm not sure he really was that. I'll give him 5'6.75.

About two inches shorter than Bernard Cribbins who is 5 ft 8 range. 5'7 seems a tad generous.

He became typecast in comedy. His screen persona was highly unpopular in later years as it was a negative stereotype.

There was a girl in my class at school who was Kenneth's 2nd cousin, but she was TALL for her age! Then there was another Williams girl, her little sister, who was on the small side and really was a dead ringer for her famous 2nd cousin, only with long, blonde hair!
It comes as no surprise to me that Kenneth was 5ft7. I would have even estimated him to be half an inch smaller.
He was well suited for all his comedy roles with that unusual voice of his. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing him in anything else!

Always one of my favourite Carry on actors. In Carry On he appeared a bit shorter than Sid James so he may well be 5 feet 7.
